I bought the 'zero' clearance plate for my Rage-5s. It's made of metal with two plastic inserts (one spare, presumably) in which slits have to be cut by the user. The unit came without instructions as to how to do this, which I had to Google. There's a video on Evolution's website showing how to do this, though it doesn't mention that the riving knife has to be lowered to below the blade beforehand, otherwise it won't cut. I'd have liked some kind of instructions to have come with the plate, or at the very least a link to the instruction video I had to Google for. Also, this won't work for cutting mitres (obviously), so you have to swap it over with the original (flimsy) plate, which frankly is very poor quality & should have been made from metal from the outset. I've yet to cut anything with the new plate, but see no reason why it shouldn't be an improvement.
