Very good impression at first... which very much regrettably lasted only 2 days after which we had to call Technical for help fixing metal spring attached around blade guard which became loose... It took us almost an hour to fix the issue which meant that 2 of our guys could not carry on working. That means a loss in daily profit. Shame...

Manageable unit at a very reasonable cost. Eats wood, yet to try it on metal, and intend buying diamond disc for cutting concrete pavers etc. (Why not !!)

The mitre saw arrived very quickly and proved easy enough to set up, it was much heavier and larger than I expected but still quite manageable. Unfortunately the laser refused to work due to what appears to be a broken wire, but as I am not very likely to really need the laser I decided not to bother wasting the time and effort in sending the saw back. Otherwise I am very pleased with the general operation of the saw, particularly the soft start, but the handle and trigger mechanism would be much better sited horizontally rather than vertically as the necessary wrist action required would be much more comfortable and natural. Otherwise (so far) I am happy with the saw.

I haven't had chance to use the item yet, but just by viewing I see that the engineering quality looks good and the practicalities of use seem efficient.

table saw has excellent cutting facilities, although the table height could be slightly lower for my height. Safety aspect excellent. Assembly reasonably easy as followed assembly video. Would have found it more difficult if just had instruction manual. Excellent service from Toolstop supplier.

For the money I don't think this can be beaten as an introductory DIY tool. Probably not suitable for heavy use trade purposes but great for round the house.

It works and because it cuts wood and metal with the same blade I don't have to worry about nails in wood.

Comments relate to the Rage5-S saw from a competent DIYer. I like the way that the rip fence attaches securely at both ends and yet easily lifts clear when simply unclamped from the front. The table extensions are easily deployed and returned to their original position. The saw folds down and unfolds without any difficulty and when folded it is very manouverable. The cut was effortless and clean.

I have only one Evolution Power Tool. I bought it some days ago and I am happy with it. Around 25 years ago I bought myself a single bevel mitre saw. I loved it and it has always been one of my favourite tools. Sadly it became a bit tired and worn and I have wanted to replace it for at least a year. My problem in doing so wasn't that there aren't any on the market. My problem was that I wanted one just as portable and capable as my old one but wasn't weighed down and doubled in size by features that I appreciate but don't have room for. When I bought my original saw it was listed at around £170, but for some reason I could not understand a local store was selling a returned, but unused one for £70. Being offered Evolution's R210CMS for the current regular price of £49.99 bordered on being just as unbelievable. Having bought one I spent a while getting to know it and making some test cuts that I found most satisfactory for the kind of use I have as a frequent diy-er. I also very much appreciated the considered and attractive design it has. I had looked at a number of similar saws that I don't doubt worked, but they were really inelegant in their implementation. There were more smiles to come as I found that it fitted very comfortably into my 42 Litre Really Useful Box that I had stored my original saw in. Whilst my original saw had a port on the side that a vacuum cleaner could be attached to, it was more of a token gesture than a practical feature. That turned out to be not so in the case of the R210CMS. The port is located tidily out of the way at the back. At first glance I thought it might take a plastic 40mm compression fitting straight coupling. Not only did it do that, my smiling little Henry vacuum cleaner's nozzle fitted into the other end. I've added a photo of the saw in the storage box, and one of the connected Henry. In the latter it has just been set up liked that for demonstration purpose and not to indicate how the saw should be used. It definitely shouldn't. The instructions for use that are provided are sensible and should be followed.

The Rage B circular saw is an easy to us tool. I used it for both wood and metal. It appears to be well made and the three year warranty is a reassuring support. I think the addition of a blade brake should be considered because the blade takes some seconds to stop after releasing the switch. The guide fence was useful although it may be a little short if you have not used a circular saw before. I would like to have seen the inclusion of a soft bag or a case. I could not find an additional case for the saw. All in all... this is a good purchase at an excellent price (under £50 from Screwfix) and I think my minor niggles are less important given everything else which is right. Recommended.
