“Good tool, however wrong product delivered, so dropped a star. Supposed to receive a carry bag, but got pointless short track that I dont need instead.”

“Bonjours, la machine que je vous ai acheté moins chère . Au niveau du serrage des pièces, l’étau est trop souple ,et l’équerre se déforme, je vais renforcer avec des goussets soudés .”

“Almost was going to return it. It cuts great but it throws chips everywhere. Even with vacuum attachment on it you end up with hot chips hitting you in face, neck and arms...”

“Table saw 5S is great value. But two things are annoying: the internal blade guard broke because the gap alongside the saw is so big and a piece of wood went into it. It is great there is now a better zero clearance insert plate but it’s £29:99 for something which should be cheaper and fitted as standard. Plus the availability is rubbish”

“Evolution have appeared in the market and been somewhat disruptive to some other brands. Their philosophy is good. However small but many issues with quality and quality control - for me at least - downgrade the reputation.”

“I have always been pleased with Evolution Tools so I recently purchased an R15 vac and am not very pleased, Less than 2 weeks old and the on/off switch is faulty the vac switches itself on and off intermittently and the only way to stop it doing this is to switch it off at the mains, Also the flexible hose is extremely tight when removing it from the Vacuum port and you have to use 2 hands, The cartridge filter also blocks up very quickly if you are picking up fine sawdust etc, may be I have been unlucky with this one hence the 3 star rating”

“This chop saw has all the power you'll need plus ease of use except one thing... The clamp that grips the (in our case) metal to be cut is awful to adjust. You have to turn and turn the Y-shaped wheel from one position to another. Other Evolution models have a quick-release adjust. No wonder this one was on sale. I love using the saw, but curse every time I have to adjust the clamp more than a half inch.”

“Have purchased several Evolution tools including recently the Rage-s bench saw, Vacuum cleaner and track bundle. Overall the quality is great for products in this price bracket, and would probably buy them again as is their customer service. So why only 3 stars? Answer - Simple utter total incompetence in their documentation, dangerous and frustrating for the buyer. For example - The assembly instructions for the Rage5-s are unintelligible and done in small print. If you turn to their video on their website as a last resort, you stand a better chance, but even the guy from the design department was having trouble and offered to re-write the manual. But kudos for admitting it was bad, made me feel better! Finally got it assembled and it has done a great job. If you fixed your documentation/assembly instructions you can have 5 stars, although I won't get back the day wasted doing what should have been a 30-minute job! Also why package the mains plug with pins sticking outwards, The item arrived with pins bent over and the plug had to be replaced. The other negative is that they skimp on accessories like you have to purchase an adaptor to connect the *Evolution vacuum to their saws (really!) or the vacuum missing the essential brush accessory - trying cleaning a table saw without one! * They do have special offers to include it but still it should be standard!”

“WE HAD A ACCIDENT WITH AN OLDER METAL GUTT OFF SAW,UNFORTUNATELY NO MORE PARTS AVAILABLE.BOUGHT A NEW ONE,BIGGEST DIFFERENCE IS THE STAMPED METAL BASE VERSUS THE CAST BASE ON THE PREVIOUS ONE,THERE IS WHERE WE HAVE AN ISSUE THE CLAMP IS BITING ITSELF DOWN ON ITS TRACK,ANY DEBRIS MAKES IT WORSE,NOT WORKING VERY SMOOTHLY,THE OLDER CAST BASE,DID NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE SINCE CLAMPING DOWN THE MATERIAL,YOU WANT TO CUT,IS ONE OF THE MAJOR OPERATIONS IN THE PROCESS OF CUTTING,i WOULD SAY,THAT IS AN ISSUE”

“Rage 5-s. Good product but a couple of issues. The riving knife fixing nut arrived with its thread damaged so could not be tightened. And if you set the rip fence bracket at the suggested position relative to the blade as per instructions, you cannot lock the fence in place because the lever is obstructed. Also there was loads of polystyrene packaging which took a couple of bins collections to get rid of. Not very environmentally friendly!”

“Table saw rage 5S Good: cuts are clean with the standard blade so far. Assembly wasn't too laborious even with sub par instructions. Unit is quite light and maneuverable on its stand. Bad: Mitre guage is a p.o.s. that is no use at all. The depth of the mitre slot depth is only 7.5mm, 2mm less than standard( or more upmarket) tablesaws so you can't use industry standard mitre guages. Cheap, but it shows.”

“I bought the 'zero' clearance plate for my Rage-5s. It's made of metal with two plastic inserts (one spare, presumably) in which slits have to be cut by the user. The unit came without instructions as to how to do this, which I had to Google. There's a video on Evolution's website showing how to do this, though it doesn't mention that the riving knife has to be lowered to below the blade beforehand, otherwise it won't cut. I'd have liked some kind of instructions to have come with the plate, or at the very least a link to the instruction video I had to Google for. Also, this won't work for cutting mitres (obviously), so you have to swap it over with the original (flimsy) plate, which frankly is very poor quality & should have been made from metal from the outset. I've yet to cut anything with the new plate, but see no reason why it shouldn't be an improvement.”

“Package arrived a little damaged. Some of the paint had flaked off and there is a rivet that is sitting more proud than the others, which I will have to grind down otherwise the wood will be raised at an angle when passing it through the table saw which will effect the cut. Not something that should have to be fixed by a member of the public. Other than that, pretty decent.”
