Good professional type tool, ideal for cutting skirting boards with various angles. Somewhat disappointed to find that a dust bag wasn't included.

Great benchsaw for the money, fabulous blade & very good cutting ability, comes flatpack however it’s well packaged with easy to understand instructions, plus supplying you with the right tools to build the bench up, only used it a couple of occasions at this time but overall I’m well pleased. I purchased a sliding mitre saw and stand. The saw works well and is accurate enough for general DIY. The stand is a good design, solid and folds small enough to easily store. There were build quality issues with the stand which need to be addressed by Evolution quality control. An M8 tap was required to clean the majority of threads during assembly of the stand. Also, one of the saw mounting brackets clamping pressure adjustment screw thread was stripped. This was overcome by fitting a lock nut each side of the mounting. Generally both were good value for money.

I needed a sliding chop saw for some time after being let down by the one I purchased from a "reputable" make - no spares available when mine became damaged. The Evolution Rage3-S slide saw paid for itself in just one small project - making a large windchime from aluminium tubing. Three cuts, two minutes! Barely any finishing off to do either on the metal. My next project required a broken construction scaffold board to be trimmed down in preparation to be re-purposed to seating. Effortless, and again with only the barest of finishing to the cut edges; several light passes with 120 grit sandpaper for smooth edges in fact. If the Rage3-S continues in this vein, I can see a love affair developing between Evolution power tools and me.

The tool does precisely what I want and at an extremely reasonable price.

Not so happy as it didn't have dust bag or guides as screwfix say they are nan extra and need to buy separately.

I wouldn't say it made me happy as I feel I should have spent the extra £10 and got a blade with more teeth, giving a finer cut.

I like the saw but the assembly instructions are by far the worst I have ever seen. But eventually I succeeded.

Excellent saw and cuts perfectly. Assembly was a little difficult but got there in the end.

Excellent cutting saw..only done basic cuts...need to adjust the laser...would have been nice if it was aligned correctly straight from the box hence only 4 stars

Evolution RAGE3FP2552 255mm Single-Bevel Sliding Compound Mitre Saw 230V suitable for the DIY use, not professional quality but good for the price. Disappointing dust collection bag not not included.

I can't really rate it's use as I've yet to use it, but build quality is very good.

Very easy to set up, well built and the sliding miter saws are very accurate, providing you manually drop the saw blade on a pencil mark before locking the piece into position. Forget the laser, its useless. I set up the laser with a piece of card as per instructions, locked it up, re checked it, all ok. Started sawing some architrave and the third cut was way out. somehow the laser had moved. Spoke to friends who have evolution miter saws and they all have the same problem. Verdict is Good saw rubbish laser guide.

I've only just started using the saw after putting it together. I did have an issue initially when fitting the blade. The instructions mention and show in the supporting diagram a loose washer to add when attaching blade, I could not find this in my pack. I eventually realised that by reversing the fixing screw the washer had been incorporated. The saw then engaged. Initial cuts proved encouraging. Time will tell.
