“Just want everyone to know that the Evolution EVOSAW380: Metal Cutting Chop Saw With 14 in. Mild Steel Blade is a dream come true. No more sparks and clean cuts that are not hot. My old chop saw was put out in the trash.”

“I love my new 14" mitering chop saw. I've worked with aluminum for years creating glazing systems. Recently I've wanted to incorporate steel into my work. This mitering chop saw makes working with steel as easy and precise as working with aluminum.”

“Being a (cheap) DIY type, I ordered an Evolution blade, put a rheostat on my old chop saw to reduce the blade speed and went to cutting. Very unsatisfactory. The blade was great but the saw was very underpowered. Ordered the Evolution chop saw. This machine is great. Blade speed is correct, it has plenty of power. Cuts are smooth, straight, and cool. Highly recommend. No longer bothered at all when needing a cut, it's quick, easy, and correct. I'm very pleased with the purchase.”

“We have purchased in the past three month 3 hoovers and one table saw. Our team of operatives can’t rate the new hoovers enough absolutely fantastic. The most recent purchase was the table saw that came with all the element you need to have as a professional setup. Our leader joiner went off with it today to be used and couldn’t stop talking about it. Happy with his purchase. The only let down is that there are few plastic things that have a potential to break. But I’m sure evolution would happily replace of this be am and issue. Thank you.”

“I purchased a aluminium zero clearance part fits perfectly but why is it not supplied with the table saw to start with. Also you have to cut through it and also cannot cut 45 degree angle?”

Chris, A zero clearance insert wasn't really a thing when the RAGE5-S was first designed, and not everyone needs one, so it remains an accessory, to help keep the cost down. You can cut at 45 degrees with the zero clearance insert, that's why we supply a spare plastic piece for 45 degree cuts. To cut the 45 degree insert just wind your blade all the way down, tilt it over at 45 degrees, start the saw, and slowly wind the blade up. It's counterintuitive, but it works because once the blade is tilted over it doesn't ascend as you wind it up, it extends sideways.

“Evolution is great!!! I purchased the EVOSAW380 and unfortunately, there was a problem with the motor after a few months. I called Evolution and they just asked for the serial number, keep in mind I hadn't registered it. They immediately emailed me a return shipping label so I could return the saw. As soon as they received it they tested it and promptly sent me a brand new saw. From the time of my call reporting the problem to the time the new saw was on my porch was less than a week! I just can't say enough about how great their customer service is. I am a customer for life. Thanks so much!”

“This replacement whacker arrived in a couple of days within the timeframe and updates supplied thank you. It is the most popular mini-plate that does a vital job in confined spaces. Have several, and am delighted with the portability, and overall performance. Don't believe there is anything better.”

“1) Customer service has been great. This matters as much as the tool quality 2) The saw, track, & saw horses are affordable & not so overpriced like other brands 3) The saw has done everything I have asked of it. I bought the saw and short track for 1 purpose; to cut stair stringers so that there's not much variation between stringers, & to prevent out of square cuts. Other track saws are 6-1)4", which doesn't cut deep enough for me when cutting stringers. Evolution is 7-1/4". 4) I want to be honest, so I do think the saw/track could be better. I would love it if the saw mounted onto the track so that I can move them together, rather than putting the track down and then setting the saw in it. The track, without the clamps, doesn't move when I'm cutting. So, to be able to move the 2 together & begin cutting as soon as the track is on the line would be perfect. 5) The only other issue might be the saw's power. It hasn't bogged down in me, but I can hear what I believe is the sound of the electric motor reaching it's limit when cutting. 6) The saw blade is parallel to the base, and it cuts smooth. Nothing I've said so far is a complaint. I'm exceedingly happy with the saw & accessories. If it was stolen today, I would order another with no hesitation. And thanks to the great price, I can afford to do so. I'm thinking about ordering another one, & purchasing Makita's 118" single piece track to keep at the shop for ripping down & processing longer materials.
