“I bought rage 3 compound mitre saw and workbench for timber work that I will be doing in the spring. Both items were well packaged and appear well made. The workbench is very strong and stable. Setting up the saw was a little complicated but helped by the on line video. I had to adjust the blade angle but that wasn't too complicated and I have checked that cutting timber works ok. The only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is that I couldn't see how to lock the guard back when fitting the blade. Everything else looks fine.”

“Builders working on my house have left me lots of wood to saw up for my wood burner. Some pieces still have nails in and so the builder in charge recommended I get an Evolution circular saw. Wow! After being used to using a hand saw this is a revelation. I cut through a huge pile of wood in no time and indeed, nails were no problem. Why didn't I get one of these ten years ago?”

“Researched for a while looking for a mitre saw. Then saw the sliding mitre saw at Screwfix at £99. So, went for that one and have no regrets whatsoever. Does everything I want and more. A few weeks later I sent for the accessory kit for it direct from Evolution. At less than a tenner delivered it was a bargain. So, overall very pleased with the saw and the service from Evolution.”

“The jigsaw performs well and I have no complaints about it's cutting ability. The lever that allows the blade to be inserted and removed is very fiddly and could be designed better. The dust blower doesn't keep the sawing spot clear of sawdust when the small plastic base guard is in place. Biggest disappointment is that the jigsaw comes without a case. It is my only power tool that I have to carry about in a cardboard box! Not very professional.”

“purchased at a great price from Screwfix I have not tested properly yet but I chopped through a few scrap pieces of timber with no problems I placed a set square on the timber to check the laser and it was spot on. I will however change the blade as I only intend to cut wood with the saw. The handbook states to wear eye and hearing protection which is good advice as I used the saw in the workshop and it is loud it may be different outside. I gave this item 4 stars that is only because I have not spent a great deal of time useing it”

“Thank you for this opportunity as I was going to contact Evolution anyway. Overall I find my Fury 6 210mm table saw very useful. I have just built two bookcases with cupboards, and it was invaluable. The rip fence is a bit flimsy, but at £99 you get what you pay for. My two concerns are a) the dust bag does not seem to collect any dust at all. I have tested the saw in both modes and there is just no airflow from the extraction port. There is no blockage that I can see. b) more seriously, the rotary table is just not accurate. In order to cut a 90' angle I have to set the table at about 1/2 a degree to the right. This means I can't take advantage of the positive stops and have to test each angle before cutting on spare wood. Even at £99 I don't find this acceptable. I would be grateful for your comments.”

“Second one I have bought as it is quite powerful for an inexpensive model. However I was disappointed that the first one had to be scrapped as the spindle on the armature sheered (metal fatigue?) Good offer on Screwfix for the replacement (£99.90)”

“To date only used twice, to cut some 3 x 2... but so far great job done. Not to difficult to assemble.. Laser is very useful for ease of alignment. Not used it enough to pass comment with regards to reliability.”

“This is the second evolution slide saw that I have purchased, (which at the moment is going fine). the first one purchased lasted 2 days because the motor burnt out while cutting laminate flooring. I am happy with the service that I received from screwfix as they replaced the saw straight away. For the money paid, I am very satisfied.”
