“the saw is a normal compound mitre saw but the good bit is it, now has a folding bench to sit on splendid piece of kit and its not heavy.”

“I have just purchased the Rage 3B Mitre saw and while it makes excellent cuts and is generally well made but it is let down a little by the Hold Down Clamp system.The threaded holes for the clamping bolt at the base of the tube are too short and the bolts seem to be loose.A poor arrangement for an otherwise good tool.”

“Mitre saw stand Great product, lightweight but sturdy. Not too big so easier to store. Only complaint is the adjustment knobs at the ends make it impossible to stand the item on its end without risking damage to the adjustment knobs.”

“Previously had a S.I.P. 10" sliding mitre saw, but it packed up on me and spares weren't available. My wife bought me this one as I wanted a more compact sliding saw. This Rage 3S is the ideal sliding mitre saw, compact, robust, and ideal for my current requirements. It was easy to assemble and test. Works nice and smoothly, is almost as noisy as my other, but as I wear ear and eye protection, that's not a problem. Screwfix had it on offer so it was a real bargain.”

“Review of the RAGE-3 Compound-sliding-mitre-saw with 255mm blade. Mostly good - a strong motor, an excellent multi-purpose blade so you can cut all sorts of materials with the one blade and not worry about a nail embedded in some wood, but my biggest disappointment was that the pre-set stop points in the angle of the cutting bench, had too much left to right movement and when you set it to 90-degrees, what you actually have could be anything between 89 & 91. I ended up using a carpenters square to try my best to set the angle of the blade to exactly 90-degrees. The large 255mm blade & sliding action of the saw allows for nearly a 30cm cut across your material, but I wanted to cut panelling at exactly 90-degrees and thus my disappointment.”

“Bought Rage 3 S mitre saw and for my purposes it works very well. Bit of a shame it does not come with a dust bag but when you compare the cost of this machine against others it is very good value. I also bought the mitre saw stand which is foldable and quite robust. However various screw clamps etc particularly on the stand are not so robust, Not much of a problem for the occasional DIYer but would be frustrating for the professional, hence only 4 stars.”

“Bought the rage 3-s for a decking job, will be using it this week, so can only base my review on the assembly and initial trials. Assembly and initial setup was really easy, however the backstop was slightly off from square, easy fix after reading the instructions (as a last resort of course) it was easily adjusted using a set square. Will probably be looking into the dust bag and additional supports / stop soon.”

“I have only had the machine a couple of days and have yet to fully use it, hence the rating of good not very good. Initial thoughts are, l like it. Cuts very well and easy to set up and use.”

“saw is good but can not use it yet because can not get accessory pack keeps saying out of stock. why accessory do not come with saw it would make it a lot easy. revolution 3 255 model . If can not get accessory pack i will be tacking back to scewfix an changing for different brand.”

“I am an experienced woodworker and Violin Maker and have found the saw to be very good as far as I have used it. It's nice to get such good clean cuts ,accurately and so quickly . Once I have put it to the test of some serious woodwork around the period house I have just brought and fitting out the new workshop then I am sure it will be on the way to being 'Very Good' Peter Smith”
