Thanks for the review Jean-Jacques. The R255SMS switch has to be held on to operate, if the switch is released then the unit turns off. There is also a hole in the switch that a lock can be added if required to prevent use of the machine. Please elaborate on what other safety measures you believe are required?

“The Fury 6 is a brilliant idea to combine a mitre saw with a table saw facility. The saw itself functions very well but is let down by some plastic bits that lack robustness for workplace handling. The table platform could maybe have been better engineered to provide height adjustment and firmer stability but, all in all this is a good saw for diy and is reasonably portable for lighter trade jobs.”

“It arrived much earlier than Amazon stated which was good. The delivery man said that he had one and it was "A great bit of kit". How's that for an independent recommendation! It came with the most comprehensive instruction manual I have ever seen. The laser was 3 mm out to the left but with the help of the manual I was able to correct it. It is so quiet compared with the last one I had. Staying with the laser, my only moan is that it does not show on small pieces and cannot be adjusted to encompass this. I have only used it on wood so far. It went through mahogany which was 45 years old like a hot knife through butter. In conclusion I would say that this is well worthy of the 5 star rating and I wholeheartedly recommend it to both the DIY and professional market.”

“Due to the current Covid 19 situation, I think "next working day" delivery can be ruled out although my sliding mitre saw did arrive on the 3rd working day. The saw is excellent, quite robust and easily assembled. Not used in anger yet but have made some preliminary cuts on some scrap wood, like a knife through butter, quite impressed. Saw dust bag not very effective but attaching an old vacuum cleaner in place of the dust bag works fine. Evolution do supply a universal machine tool/vacuum attachment but unfortunately they are out of stock. I think if Evolution supplied one with their power tools, it would possibly enhance their sales.”

“Lots of power. Great alignment out of the box. Good instructions for assembly. Minor issues: sliding fence jammed and would not slide about the second time I used it (cleaning did not help). Laser is too dim to see outdoors without a sun shade. Overall, itis a great product. I would buy it again and I recommend it.”
