“It took me ages to assemble the darn thing, it was basically very simple but a couple of operating musts, locking down for carrying and changing the saw blade, are not explained at all and are really frustrating until you discover how to do it and then of course it is simplicity itself. I lost the tiny cable clamp screw and was promised a replacement but I am still waiting.”

“No safety switch on the unit in case someone turns on unit by mistake.”

Thanks for the review Jean-Jacques. The R255SMS switch has to be held on to operate, if the switch is released then the unit turns off. There is also a hole in the switch that a lock can be added if required to prevent use of the machine. Please elaborate on what other safety measures you believe are required?

“The Fury 6 is a brilliant idea to combine a mitre saw with a table saw facility. The saw itself functions very well but is let down by some plastic bits that lack robustness for workplace handling. The table platform could maybe have been better engineered to provide height adjustment and firmer stability but, all in all this is a good saw for diy and is reasonably portable for lighter trade jobs.”

“Lots of power. Great alignment out of the box. Good instructions for assembly. Minor issues: sliding fence jammed and would not slide about the second time I used it (cleaning did not help). Laser is too dim to see outdoors without a sun shade. Overall, itis a great product. I would buy it again and I recommend it.”

“Overall I am impressed with Evolution as a make and with their prices. The double bevel miter saw is an awesome piece of kit. However their table saw stability and fence accuracy is inadequate.”

“I love the capabilities of my chop saw but my only complaint is that it did not come with the quick adjust material vise. Other that that best chop saw I have ever used!”

“Over all I love this chop saw. My only draw back at this point is that I’m sure there is certain types of things/ metals to watch out for that can destroy this very expensive blade. Not sure what they might be. You know typical mistakes. Also got this model so I can utilize a fifteen inch blade but it only comes with a 14” blade. An obvious money dig for the company.”

Circular saws should be used with either a vac or dust extraction unit, which is why we do not sell a dust bag to suit. Thank you for your feedback Patrick

“power tool came in good shape , only problem is the sliding fence it goes out of square when the locking screw is tightened, i have sent three emails about this and have only had one sent back, and they wanted a pic. of it.. why all the bull all i wanted was to have them send me a new one and i would have sent the other one back . so as far as i am concerned i will no longer buy anything from this company again very bad at getting back and trying to fix this problem. this kind of thing might go over in the UK but people in the US don't have time for companies that don't follow thru on there commitment to there customers. So i would say if you buy from this company GOOD LUCK. your going to need it..”

“This is my second 305mm disc cutter, first one lasted four years with quite heavy weekly use, hasn't quite got the power of a petrol cutter but cuts what I need it to, good cutter”

“only one criticism ; the saw blade guard is stiff too retract when commencing a saw cut, all other functions work perfectly. P.S always work on a flat stable surface when using track guides”

“The base plate could be stiffer. The vertical alignment between the blade and the base could be much better. I have to adjust every work piece. However the cutting action of the saw is excellent.”
