The knobs for tightening the arms and rollers are made from a very weak form of plastic and have broken already, now I need to find some kind of replacement...

Easy to assemble, well built and designed. Seems perfect for DIY, durability is of course unknown as yet, we will see with time.

I often cut old wood and having a blade that cuts through nails etc. is a great idea. This is the third Evolution saw I have bought over the last 12 years and find them very good as I put them through a very hard time .

It is early days as I have only had the saw for a week. I am confident about a wise purchase as I have only "played" with it so far. The instructions are, shall I say typical. It would be helpful to actually define which part of the saw is the front and which is the back. Logical one would assume? But mounting the brackets for using with the saw stand which was also purchased with the saw generated "let's kick the cat moments". All in all a decent tool with a decent price from Screwfix.

Nice machine, not too heavy, not too large and a great blade.

mitre saw, very good. Like the soft start and brake, also very quiet for its size. All angles are good, and mated to the Evolution saw stand it does the business. I suppose a few people will gripe about there being no visual quick set up guide , but it was all common sense , when you read the supplied book. In all a very good saw , and we will see how it copes with general use.

Easy to assemble and cuts lovely. I bought the Rage3 with an accessory pack and stand. Don't bother with the accessory pack if you buy the stand would be my advice, as it is a waste of money. Make sure you check the vertical and horizontal planes for squareness on a bit of scrap wood first, as both needed tweeking square on mine.

tool does what i expected, it works fine. However on the first cut one of the four motor mounting screws fell out! Fortunately it droped onto the work piece and I was able tp fing the offending hole and refit it. not a good start.

The rage 2 is a versatile saw of good build quality. I have used the saw to cut pipework 2", 3" and 4" without any issues. I have also used it as a wood chop saw for 4" x 4" timber. The multi material blade is a blessing, little or no burrs and no changing blades for different materials, saves me time and cost. A negative is that there is no location to store the pipe block and allen key when not in use. This leaves them open to be lost on site. There is some room available in the raised base that could be utilised for a clip/pocket/drawer/compartment.

I am very pleased with the build quality and overall performance of these tools. As a tradesman I’m used to using expensive professional tools that can take a pounding on site and in the workshop and these do that with ease.
