Great machine, cuts like a knife through butter. Shame was that one screw was missing in the knob of the safety guard. I can’t fault anything else! Great!

Does exactly as required. I would recommend that you v put in v the box the fact out needs calibrated as I did not know until I did my first couple of cuts and the cuts were not flush. The laser was also very fiddly to set straight down middle. Cuts clean and straight once this is achieved.

I assembled the machine without much difficulty by following the manual and watching a you tube video, although I had to substitute some 8mm washers for a missing spacer. I tested by trimming an old section of door frame timber that had a few nails in it which it not only cut without any problem but also enabled me to make all four sides perfectly square. That's a degree of accuracy I did not expect. It can be set to trim wafer thin cuts of wood. The dust extraction facility is excellent when used with my vac. It's easy to fold away for storage and quite manoeuvrable which was an important consideration for me as my work space is limited. All in all I am very well pleased with this machine and I expect to get extensive use out of it. I would recommend it both for a DIY enthusiast and a tradesman (or woman πŸ˜‚ )

The R255 SMS mitre saw I purchased from Screwfix is very well engineered and robust and reasonably priced and I am generally impressed with its performance. The only slight issue is the laser unit which is not as accurate as I had hoped as it is slightly out of plumb on the vertical axis which means that I cannot follow a pencil mark for cutting as (a) the adjustment tolerance will not allow the laser line to move either to the blade centre line or where I prefer the left hand tip of the cutting teeth on the waste side and (b) the distance from the line to the blade varies with depth of material. There does not appear to be any adjustment for this in the manual, only lateral position (not enough) and out of parallel. In practise this is not an issue as it is easy enough to set the blade teeth to the edge of a pencil line, in light of this I would question why this feature has been included if it is of no practical use.

Evolution R210CMS 210mm Single-Bevel Compound Mitre Saw 1. Surprisingly clean cut on wood. 2. VERY loud machine! Wear ear protectors. 3. Second clamp is definitely needed. 4. Power cord is far too short, especially if used with Vacmaster with Power Take Off socket.

Prompt and speedy delivery. I purchased a Evolution evo system in 2014. Water pump output. Unfortunately this has failed to work and pump had no priming instructions. Very happy with recent purchase.
