This acquisition was greatly encouraged by the long-term performance of an earlier purchased chop saw. Very good that the same table platform can be used for them both.”

“I bought the Screwfix special table saw which is basically the Rage 5S without the LH table extension. To upgrade it I bought the extension rails and added them to the saw. It makes a huge difference when cutting sheet goods down. It was so easy to find and order the parts and I had them within a few days. Great parts and customer service and even the postage wasn’t overly excessive. Today I’ve just ordered the aluminium throat plate so looking forward to that arriving too.”

“I have never used a mag drill prior to purchasing this one. I was attracted to it because I am a fan of Evolution's cold cutting chop saws along with its reasonable price. I have used it to drill a few misc. small holes using a standard drill bit with the included chuck attachment. The reason why I bought it was to drill holes in a 1/4” plate to use as a fixture table. The drill performed well while drilling all 180 holes with a 5/8” Evolution annular bit that I purchased separately. The specs state that the magnet requires a minimum plate thickness of 3/8”. I did not have any problems with the magnet not being strong enough on the 1/4” plate as long as the work surface and the bottom of the drill was free of debris. Most of my drilling, I had a 14’ gauge plate on top to use as a hole guide. I even used the drill upside down attached to the bottom of the 1/4" plate to drill a couple holes through the 14 ga plate when originally making my hole guide. I eventually plan to build (or repurpose) a drill press stand with a thick horizontal plate (for mounting the mag drill to). This way I can use it as a drill press or easily remove it to use elsewhere. It appears to be a well-built and quality drill. I think this is an excellent drill for the value and is deserving of a 5-star review. I would buy it again and recommend it to others. No review is complete without listing cons, so here are mine: - Allow the drill to be stored in the case with the handles (used to raise and lower the drill) attached. - The drill is a bit loud. The noise comes from the drill itself and not the drill bit. - I’m not a big fan of the lubrication system. You have to manually remember to open or close the lubricant valve. I wish turning the drill on would start the lubricant flow (if attached) and stop it once the drill is turned off. The lubricant/coolant tank also must be removed to store the drill in in its case. The valve for the lubricant tank (to start or stop the flow of lubricant) is right below the tank itself, so when disconnecting the lubrication system, the clear tube needs to be drained. The lubricant tank has a hole in the lid so that air can enter as lubricant leaves. Lubricant would leak out of this air hole if laid on its side, so than would also have to be drained for storage.”

“I bought a saw from you and it cuts straight however it leaves a bunch of chatter marks on the cut. Tried a new blade and it did the same thing. I wanted to return the saw and just buy the upgraded version but was told you do not do that. Very disappointed. After checking things out farther I found the saw had a lot of runout on the motor.”

“I have been doing woodworking for close to 50 years and trimming the edge of a board is never a problem. Well after 3 cuts with my expensive blade I needed to do that on one piece of the steel tubing. Doing so ruined the blade. When I tried to make my next cut I was unable to make the cut. Now the blade needs to be sharpened.”

“Great quality detail manufacture and assembly. NO calibration required out of the box, perfectly square first cut. A really nice tool, rugged enough for light commercial use, and reduces time required for DIY user (such as myself) with massive increase in accuracy over hand saw. I look forward to even more home projects with this excellent tool...”

“My husband likes the cart. but due to cold weather (16 Degrees F.) and no heat in the garage or shed. He hasn't put it to use yet. But the little he has used it worked well. He'll try to get back to you in the Spring.”

“These are great tools. We have the older miter saw as well as the all-new compound miter. We recently purchased the latest circular saw. Me and my guys are very pleased with the way these tools perform and hold up. I had read a review on the circular saw where a guy was making an 8' cut on a 1/2" plate, complaining how he went through several blades and it overheated a lot; I'm calling BS. I haven't tried that exact cut, but with what we have used it on, I have no doubt the saw could do it with one blade and not overheat once. You just can't treat it like plywood, you are cutting steel.”

“Efficient service and prompt delivery, the front clamp that came with the R255SMS+ came unassembled which wouldn't have been a problem except the screw to hold the knob in place was missing so I phoned Evolution. Initially was told the required screw would be popped in post next day but nothing after 6 days so phoned again and told a complete front clamp would be sent to me, and it arrived next morning so can't fault that service. I have assemble the R255SMS+ but not had chance to set up accurately but seems good so far. This will be used for DIY work and looks more than good enough for that and at excellent price.”

“Bought the s355cpsl saw. Saw works great, but the blades do not. Got 1 blade for free so I can't complain much. Both blades lost carbides. I was cutting at a very slow rate.”
