“We purchased the R255 SMS-DB+ to replace the RAGE3-DB which was no longer available. We LOVED the RAGE3-DB! The R255 SMS-DB+, not so much. We use the saw to cut steel tubing. The new saw is harder to clamp the material for sawing. It is so bad that it can cause an accident. Also, the graduations on the new saw are not labeled as nicely as the old one. I have looked for parts for the RAGE3-DB, but the website shows everything is out of stock. We would really like to have another RAGE3-DB. The new saw was supposed to come with a multi-material cutting blade, this was missing from the box. I ordered and paid for, a steel cutting blade as well, but that is no reason to not include the multi-material cutting blade. So far we have been very disappointed.”

“I have an Evolution Mitre Saw, which is great and recently purchased a refurbished Mitre Saw stand. The stand is really solid and easy to set up and take down. The Mitre saw attaches simply with clip-on handles and makes the use of the saw so much better. Extending arms make the handling of longer items so much easier as well.”

“Evolution tools are great!! Iv used their large 185mm sliding mitre saw a for a few years. It has helped me to build a really one of custom hardwood bedframe and other small bits of furniture. Recently just got their cordless drill and jigsaw as Evolution offer great tools of a really decent price. Its what I really like about their product line up. Good quality for the average handy man at an affordable price. Hope to see their cordless eco system expand in the future!”

Alasdair, There are more cordless products scheduled for later this year. A Oscillating Multi-tool and Impact Driver are due Aug/Sept and there's more to follow dates TBA.

“The Evolution electric compactor works really well. Dug out an area 6 inches deep for a patio extension. Barrowed in 2 bulk bags of crusher run to the full 6 inches and easily compacted it down to the required 4 inches with a lovely smooth surface.”

“I bought the EVOMAG42 drill and although the drill works perfectly I am quite unhappy that it is missing numerous items. My drill did not come with any screws to mount the guard or the coolant tank. It was missing the chuck, chuck adapter, chuck key, and all the hex keys. I have contacted Evolution Tools and it looks like I will have to return the drill and get a replacement one.”

“on the double bevel mitre saw the back fence is not strong enough and is easily bent out of square when cutting thicker materials the only downside of this machine.”
