not clear what comes in the box for example my mitre saw and circular saw did not come with dust bags, surely this is a standard item.

Awesome saw. The only thing that would make this saw a 5 star would be to make the angle cuts go up to 90 degrees instead of 45. Great saw.

For the price this is an excellent piece of kit and I am very impressed with it. On opening, 1 plastic end cap was missing. This was reported to Evolution and the parts arrived in the post next day - Excellent customer service. In the booklet, the leg assembly drawings are not the easiest to follow and I was second guessing which way round to put things but there are plenty of YouTube videos available to help if needed. Accuracy out of the box was pretty good - blade vertical vertical to saw bed was 89.9 degrees. Rip fence varied a bit - move it from right to left and lock it and it is 0.5mm out of square with the blade. Move it from left to right and it is 1mm out of square. Tape is only a guide and what you see depends on the right side extension position. Mitre gauge is solid but plastic and needs an angle gauge to set it accurately. Two let downs. Firstly when you switch it on there is no soft start. This saw jumps on startup and would benefit from soft start. I have seen a German YouTube video of a Polish soft start unit being fitted retrospectively. So could Evolution could offer an upgrade kit to do this? Secondly (rain stopped play and I need to play around a bit more with the riving knife) out of the box I tried cutting 18mm ply with the blade poking through by about 2mm, The gap under the back of the safety guard was only about 6mm so the material would not pass through without raising the blade significantly. The riving Knife needs to be raised for this to work. Nobody on YouTube mentioned this and I can't see much in the book either so perhaps it is normal to do this and just my inexperience showing through. Overall I am very impressed and managed to trim a consistent 0.5mm from a 6 inch wide 8ft length of 18mm ply. My old saw couldn't cut a straight line in a 6 inch length of 1 x 4 so this is almost miraculous compared to what I am used to.

Purchased the R185CCSX Circular Saw together with the ST2800 Guide Kit. For the price I am very pleased with the R185CCSx circular saw. Having tried several freehand test cuts, the saw cuts evenly and true. Unlike my previous circular saw from a well know manufacturer which tends to try and run off the cut line. If I have one criticism it is the ST2800 Guide rail clamps which hold the guide to the work bench. They are cheaply made; which is a pity as they detract from the overall quality of the kit. I am not quite sure what Evolution were thinking when they commissioned these clamps. One of the clamps, the top bent out of true after several uses and I had to use my vice to straighten it. The pressure arm which you tighten up under the work bench to hold the guide in place is made out of plastic. I cannot see these clamps lasting very long with frequent use and I have already purchased another pair of guide clamps to replace them. Would I recommend the R185CCSX Circular Saw and the ST2800 Guide Kit, yes, but with reservations about the clamps currently supplied with the guide kit. I would have given a 5 star rating, but for the clamps.

I've never had much in the way of skill when it comes to DIY, so I figure it's probably worth getting decent tools to help reduce the chances of things going wrong! Very pleased with my sliding mitre saw, instructions are easy to follow, simple to put together and use. It has done everything asked of it so far with no dramas, making me look better than I probably am, lol. Recommended.

I purchased the hand held sander primarily for sanding our old ceilings showing cracks at the joints and some poorly finished walls. The sander did a good job on the walls and was fairly easy to use. Dust gathering is superb. It came with a variety of grades of paper, but nothing course. All 180 and above which would be fine for new plaster, but only lasted a few minutes before clogging and having to change. The ceiling was a different matter entirely. The sander is very difficult to handle, bouncing all over the place. You really need to be on a high platform to hold it steady unless you have very strong arms and can only work an area of about a foot square at a time before moving position. All that said, it gave a great finish and I'm glad I bought it. Once I bought 80 grit paper, everything became easier.

I have only set up the Evolution Miter Saw and cut a few pieces of square stock and re bar. I had a problem cutting the first re bar. I tried holding it by hand and ended up damaging the fence and 40 tooth blade. The folks at Evolution were super in handling "my" problem and stood behind the blade and fence which they probably didn't have to. Great customer service. Watch for the direction of blade rotation and make sure you have the blade oriented properly. I will only use this saw for light duty as it is not a heavy duty commercial unit. It should do what I bought it for. Due to the great customer service I will look at other Evolution Power Tools.

La scie semble de bonne qualité. Les réglages d’usine sont corrects. Le laser est précis mais pas assez puissant. Bonne coupe, à voir la durée dans le temps.

I have used only once so far, and works as expected. My only criticism is that it doesn’t come with a dust bag, all other competitor models have this as standard. B & Q doesn’t even sell them as an optional extra, this is not good.

The new double bevel mitre saw is a nice piece of kit but I'd like to see a couple of adjustments made. Firstly the tube for dust extraction has bars that cause blockages these need removing and I think a rubber type funnel leading upto the tube would improve it. The second is the scale for the bevels after setting the pointers to zero when moved over to 45 the pointer is off the scale, the stops can be set for 45 but it would be nice for the pointer and scale to line up too. I do like the higher motor, the handle is comfortable and laser light switch is much better and at last an extraction tube to fit a vacuum pipe instead of a silly size. So far it feels compact and robust so easier carrying too and from van shame the front clamp wasn't included with it. I must say I was disappointed that the fact you have to register the product and where etc, isn't printed readable on the box or instructions, merely a mention of a flier but no flier to be found.
