“My Evolution Rage 3 sliding chop saw is already an old friend and I wonder how I managed without it. In the week since I received it I have chopped up an old shed for firewood and some scaffold planks for a new unit. The blade goes through wood and nails with ease.”

“I have a Rage 3 Mitre compound saw, purchased from Screwfix and contacted Evolution Tools directly to purchase a dust bag. This arrived within 2 days of order and I am generally pleased with the product and hope the dust bag will reduce the amount of cleaning up, although would have expected this accessory to have been provided with the original saw. So far with respect to quality, accuracy and particularly value for money I cannot fault this bit of kit.”

“Easy to set up and get started, some aspects felt 'built to a budget' but performance over 5 months has been constant, no detrioration, colour of green plastic fixings has faded badly, but this is purely cosmetic.”

“Good looking piece of kit. Ideal for starter mitre saw. Does have limitations with size of material it can cut. Easy to set up and use. Cut is clean. Only used on wood so far. Item can be portable or fixed to workbench via precut holes. Item is very light to transport. If you are looking for a simple cutter for various material types this is excellent value. If you are a big diy person they you need to look for something at little larger and more robust.”

“Tool purchased was a jig saw RAGE 7S. I had to file a bit of the front bottom of the plastic wrap around front guard to get it to fit and stay on when the chip guard was in place. I was impressed with extra facilities ie. tilting foot. blower and vacuum attachment for the price.”

“This is a very good Mitre Saw and does what it says on the tin. The only thing is, when you cut with the Bevel angle it only goes to the left, what I would like is to make it go to the right also,which would make it easier to cut wide skirting boards that need a bevel either end. I would have given a 'very good ' if that was the case.”

“Very good saw for the money, well worth buying for jobs around the house, great blade that cuts through most things like butter. Easy to use and put together. i use ear muffs when using it as it can get a bit load when cutting metal. Overall a very good piece of kit, i highly recommend it. BIG THUMBS UP FROM ME: Carl”

“Light compact and versatile tool. Great for diy,but will have to see how long it lasts. Hence 4 stars. The only drawback I've found is that you have to do a trial cut you want accurate angles, but having said that its not as expensive as some and will do what you want with a little care. All in all very pleased so far.”

“A good piece of kit. Sturdy and well made with an effective TCT general purpose blade. One small problem I have had with it is the 5 amp fuse supplied fitted in the plug top. After about 15 minutes use cutting up pallet planks the saw stalled and stopped mid cut. I checked the rcd which was still OK and then thought it may have a thermal cut out ( which it doesn't) and then checked the fuse, which blown. Replaced it with a new 5 amp fuse and all was well. I suspect that a 5 amp fuse is near its limits with this saw (using watts/volts; 1250/230 = 5.4 amps) l will see how it goes. Otherwise very pleased so far.”
