“I have not had a chance to use the mitre saw yet, however I feel that I have to give credit for the packaging and the robust look and feel of the tool itself. I found the assembly pictograms easy to follow. I am now looking forward to my forthcoming diy projects.”

“The saw works great. It functions smoothly and well and has stood up to a number of tasks involving complex angles and different materials. I was greatly dismayed, however, to discover that the arbour size is 1" whereas most 10" saw blades have a 5/8" diameter arbour. This means that blade selection is extremely limited, with available blades only from Evolution and one other manufacturer that I've found so far. The blade that came with it cuts quickly and well, but not particularly smoothly, especially on softwood lumber. Would be an easy fix if I could swap in another blade, but... arbour makes that impossible.”

Evolution saws can only be used with Evolution blades due to the bore size and reduced RPM of the machines.

“I have the rotary saw and the chop saw and both do a good job have not tried the metal cutting side of either of them and I hope not to use that on them but I use a lot of scrap wood so at least I can stop worrying about hidden nails and screws just bought another rotary saw for my sons birthday as his old one is on its way out”

“My 255SMS+ Mitre saw is better as I expected. Working with wood, aluminium and soft steel makes it easy with this saw. Even with a diamant blade you can work with stone and tiles. I am very glad I decided to buy this mitre saw and no other.”

“I've promised myself one of these for years after always using a hand mitre saw and what a difference it has made. Easy to assemble and simple to adjust to different angles, smooth accurate movement, therefore a laser light would only serve as a novelty gadget, the TCT blade is a big plus, cuts through everything like butter, the only down side is the lack of a dust bag as most DIY users don’t possess an extraction system. However, great value for the money, I would recommend it to anybody.”

“The concept is very sound with one engine driving a range of accessories. Delivery was next day. The unit was easy to assemble and it is easy to fit the accessory. The engine started as soon as the fuel flowed through to the carburettor. Instructions say 0.6 litres of engine oil but I think there must have been some residual oil in the sump following testing as it didn't take this amount before it started pouring back out of the filler. Hopefully more accessories will become available in the future.”

“Not bad tool. Wish the blade could angle at more than 45 degrees for cutting skirting at angles more than 90 degrees. Locking the saw closed could also be easier. Should come with clips to hold to a bench not bolts as this is a pain.”

“I find that being right handed that when you use the hold down on the right side to use as a repetitive stop the motor hits the stop before cutting all the way through cutting at a 90'”
