I bought this hot air gun to replace a previous one in which the fan stopped working and unfortunately, Evolution are no longer able to repair this model. When I bought the first one there were no comparable models in the market and on a further search before buying the replacement, this was still the case. The range of variable temperature output with the digital read out is not matched by any other equivalent priced model so far as I can tell. Its a shame the first model stopped working but I had no hesitation in buying an identical replacement.

Brilliant saw and multi-use blade - worth 5 stars Supplied with a 1200mm track which is useful Let down by 1. No track clamps - which are only available on the Evolution site and only with expensive next day shipping 2. The saw comes with an outlet for waste connection, meant to connect to a vacuum cleaner which is ok if using the saw in a workshop. At other times a cheap dust bag would be very useful and should be included 3. The track comes in 3 sections which are connected by sliding bars which can impede the use of the track clamps (depending on the width of the workpiece)

Hi Have just started to use Evolution as I am normally a user of Makita and still have a large selection of that model. However I chose to purchase the Evolution mitre saw to try, did not purchase the correct one thought it was double bevelled for that model I should have shopped around. Have been cutting oak and machine workers well only time will tell. Thanks Mark

Definitely did a nice job. I cut 3/16" x 1 1/2" angle iron and it did a very nice job. Just wish it was easier to cut the other end. Wish the 45 degree would go both directions. For something other than angle iron it should be a lot easier to cut both angles on both ends. Other than that it is a nice saw.

I have only had this for a week or so and have used it only a couple of times, but it did the jobs I needed in good fashion. I like it especially after watching the online video which is excellent.

Love the saw. The manual needs a lot of work. Sometimes it is very hard to follow and the print is way to small for my 75 year old eyes. Fortunately there are a couple good assembly videos on the web that helped a lot. Made my first cut and it was very smooth.

The 110v circular saw with guide rail is excellent value for money and performs great leaving a very clean cut. Compliments my Evolution mitre saw as well

Evolution compound mitre saw is very good overall however the driveshaft on the armature snapped off during use and not abused less than a year old but couldn't find the receipt to get a warranty repair done so chose to purchase a replacement part and fitted it myself and now up and running again, the service was excellent, so I would say don't lose your receipt it'll cost you.

I have the Evolution chop saw. Nice clean, straight cuts that don’t require finishing prior to fit-up. My only suggestion is to consider making the degree increments etched on the table a bit more accurate and useful.

Its OK for light DIY work as it's mot as heavy as a petrol version. I've heard some people have put a bag of sand on it to help. But for the Money you can not complain.

Purchased the R210SMS 240v sliding mitre saw from Screwfix. The saw is very easy to setup and have running in minutes. Only problem is that the screw that holds the vertically mounted clamp loosens just by looking at it and so it needs constant tightening in between each timber cut and cannot be just set and left at a specific height. Annoying to say the least. Otherwise, very satisfied with the saw which made cutting and relaying floorboard timber an absolute doddle. Looking forward to being able to quickly, easily and properly create mitre and scribe cuts for skirting board install.
