“The tool looks fine and I have not used it yet. My problem is the covering up of the country of origin. I bought it online at Home Depot who covered it up also checked out the British company Evolution online but no mention it was made in CHINA. I for one want to know where it is made.”

“Werkt prima. Speciale pluspunten volgens mij: 1. Het zaagblad natuurlijk. Echt een bonus om meerdere materialen te kunnen zagen. Werkt vooralsnog uitstekend. 2. Superpunt: de machine is goed kalibreerbaar. Horizontale en verticale hoek zijn goed en eenvoudig te finetunen. Vind je verder nauwelijks in deze prijsklasse. 3. De stevige borging bij horizontale hoekinstellingen en de extra borgpen voor de verticale hoek voor hoeklijsten. 4. Simpele diepte-instelling. 5. Deze machine kan alle gangbare maten planken en balkjes aan - maar daar hat ik 'm ook op uitgezocht natuurlijk. Groot blad en een grote uitslag zijn voor mij een voorwaarde. Minpuntjes: a. De verticale hoek was af-fabriek niet goed gecalibreerd (90* wel OK, 45* niet). b. Ik ben geen fan van een slow start motor. Helemaal polulair, ik weet het, maar het vertraagt alleen maar. Kwestie van smaak zullen we maar zeggen. Al met al voor mij een machine die veel levert voor relatief weinig geld, eenvoudig in het gebruik, met een paar punten die hem er voor mij echt laten uitspringen.”

“I bought this because of good reviews and watched the videos online. Very simple to set up and use. But there are few flaws that made me think twice. This is a very dangerous machine so nothing should be left to chance. 1. The manual was absolutely useless. All the diagrams were in a separate page and the instructions were unclear. 2. The installation of the blade was not obvious, as I needed to insert it in a tight gap while holding a sharp blade. The instruction did not mention anything about that so after many attempts I resorted to watching a video, which I luckily found. 3. There is a video scan on the manual to go to the video. It required installing an app which I deleted immediately as it was full of virus. 4. There is no power switch. There is one that has a on/off icon right on top but that is for the laser so I assumed it was for the power and did not realise I could have accidentally turn it on again. Very dangerous. 5. The feature that made me to give 1 star is the slider bar next to the cutting slit. It was set to the right by DEFAULT which meant, if I had not read the useless manual to the end I would have not know about its function. My very first cut was 45 degree, so when I did the cut I realised I cut through the slider. And when I looked closely there is a warning sign on it. That is totally unacceptable. The slider should never go under the saw in the first place, at least it should have been put to the left with and tapped the warning on it so I can see the warning before removing the tape.”

“I am happy with tool, but the real value of the company comes from after sales support. We had a problem with the tool. I guess it was our fault. So we wrote to Evolution requesting spare parts. We got a very short answer saying that they do not ship parts outside of UK. And that is the end of the story from their side. So I have to say that after sales support is quite poor is you are located outside UK.”

“The saw is ok, cuts as advertised. It does throw lots of sharp debris that burns and cut the hand if not wearing proper PPE. All this is fine. The reason I gave it 2 is this: - I already lost the tool to adjust the cage; and 45 degree angles because they don’t provide u a place to store it. - the cage and wall that hold the material is flimsy and moves the material with it - I often don’t get perfect 90 with it Many times my cuts have an angle to it. It’s a hassle to return so... a grinder will do.”

“After considering a few options I chose the Evolution Rage 5-S table saw and now believe I made the right choice. The assembly instructions could have been a bit clearer but after reading them a few times, managed to assemble with very little problems. (Looking at the illustration on the box helps). The blade guard isn't great and there is a temptation to leave it of but safety first. The performence of the saw is excellent. Had no problems with any of work I have done. If all Evolution power tools are of similar quality then I would recommend them.”

“I've never seen a company that listens to its consumers and betters their product in such a short period of time! because of this, I was able to take my extra set of Ridgid mounts and mount my new Evo S380CPS to my Ridgid mobile miter stand! only wish it had all four mounting holes instead of just 3, but I was able to circumvent! glad I did that instead of a huge band saw!”
