“Compound mitre saw good overall value for money. Good for straightforward cross cutting and mitres. However, for depth stop cutting of housings etc. the depth control is unstable due to flexing of the slider bars. Also the motor body fouls the vertical shaft on the work piece clamp.”

“Ref. Evolution 210mm Compound Mitre Saw The saw is OK but have to be careful when cutting wood at 90 degrees particularly after having cut wooden pieces at differing angles. I have found that it can get slightly out (I estimate about 1 degree) meaning I have to readjust the angle setting.. I'm just a hobby type but after one year of weekend use, the hole in the circular clamping plate has worn severely. I now use a scrap piece of wood on my work piece when clamping it on the saw table to avoid the ball on the clamping screw from damaging my workpiece.”

“Good tools to start with but if you have the money invest in the good stuff like Festool or Makita. For occasional diy though these are great value for money but you'll quickly outgrow if you take your diy seriously”

“First power saw was dangerous due to not being able to lift the guard out the Way saw bench blade to wobberly and won't won't cut timber straight”

“The first table saw I purchased from B&Q developed a fault in that the stop button stopped working so had to take it back. The saw is ok for DIY not that accurate though”

“Over all pleased with the jigsaw I bought but from the first day It won't cut in a straight line, you have to cut with the body at an odd angle to maintain a straight line, the same with different blades”

“The tool is fine but the "add-ons" leave a lot to be desired. The laser guide very quickly went out of alignment for no particular reason and now is useless. Also, part of the guide table does not seem tight and does not appaer to line up with the opposite side of the blade.”

“I like the mitre sae and the fact that the blade cuts metal. I'm a little disappointed with the quality of finish/ construction. Some parts had to be adjusted to work properly. The same for the saw stand, quality could be better. Overall fair for the price, don't know if its just the ones I got on this issue though.”

“The saw I bought recently is very good apart from the fact that the dust bag is completely useless , I've been using the saw to cut softwood for a project I have on going & i would say that not one grain of sawdust has gone into the bag!”

“this device could be very good - but it is not - here is why: 1.it get quickly very hot and is difficult to use without gloves 2.grip could be improved 3.dust bag keeps falling off - power cable is pushing it away and the outlet pipe is not long enough to hold the bag securely other improvements I can think of is lower noise level and better quality power cable in general this is very useful tool and given the price I'm not really complaining - but I would be happy to pay 4 times more for a product without the above mentioned issues”

“Circular saw. Generally good. Shame Evolution wouldn't use a standard hole size for the blades. Forces you to add spacer rings and this can lead to blade slipping..”
