“I purchased a sliding mitre saw and stand. The saw works well and is accurate enough for general DIY. The stand is a good design, solid and folds small enough to easily store. There were build quality issues with the stand which need to be addressed by Evolution quality control. An M8 tap was required to clean the majority of threads during assembly of the stand. Also, one of the saw mounting brackets clamping pressure adjustment screw thread was stripped. This was overcome by fitting a lock nut each side of the mounting. Generally both were good value for money.”

“This was bought as a replacement for a table saw that I had been using for yars without any major mechanical problems. As my projects were getting more ambitious I needed a saw that would cut a deeper depth. I also wanted a saw that could cope with the accidental cut thorough nails etc. I was very impressed how the Fury 5 cut with great accuracy and apart from the motor the wood cutting was silent. It handled several 8'x 2"x2" wood down the grain with ease and with a great smooth cut. Great piece of kit.”

“I needed a sliding chop saw for some time after being let down by the one I purchased from a "reputable" make - no spares available when mine became damaged. The Evolution Rage3-S slide saw paid for itself in just one small project - making a large windchime from aluminium tubing. Three cuts, two minutes! Barely any finishing off to do either on the metal. My next project required a broken construction scaffold board to be trimmed down in preparation to be re-purposed to seating. Effortless, and again with only the barest of finishing to the cut edges; several light passes with 120 grit sandpaper for smooth edges in fact. If the Rage3-S continues in this vein, I can see a love affair developing between Evolution power tools and me.”

“I'm a very keen DIY'er and getting on a bit and have managed with just a jig saw,until now. Wish I had bought this circular saw years ago. I'm left handed and understood the implications when I bought it, however, the saw is well balanced and I do not find it difficult to use, the cleanness and accurateness is astounding giving the price paid. Plenty of power, I dare not use it on metal I know it (the blade)can do it but how long for? prefer to keep it in good condition for timber. When set at 0' or is that 90'? it goes slightly beyond so you have to be aware of that and just keep an eye on it, perhaps it's just my machine? an easy fix with a bit shendanagans :-) thoroughly recommended”
