“I purchased an Evolution RAGE 3DB 255mm Double-Bevel Sliding Compound Mitre Saw 230V to replace my ageing sliding saw. I found this Evolution saw easier to use,it gave a cleaner cut and the Double bevel feature was a big advantage. The price was very good compared with others I had looked at. A nice bit of Kit. Easy to set up,the only adjustment I had to make was the blade was very slightly out of vertical, this adjustment was very easy to readjust.”

“I bought this mitre saw to replace an older saw. I am very pleased with the look and also that the saw is quite light but still stable when in use. After a few set up adjustments the saw is very accurate and my new kitchen pelmets look great. However, I am disappointed that a saw of this power and high blade speed doesn’t come with a dust bag and second clamp, especially as the saw has the facilities to fit these. (The reasons for 4 stars and not 5). I know these come with the ‘Plus’ version but I had not seen this version until after purchase of my saw. I really do think that these extras should come as standard for this saw.”

“I purchased the R165CCSl circular saw to cut 18mm mdf boards i must say it certainly took the task to hand.Beautiful clean smooth cuts from the multi material blade which comes as standard it steers perfrctly with no drifting or kick back well worth the £40 pound paid.i was so impressed i have now purchased the R210sms sliding compound single bevel cut mitre saw.highly recommended.”

“I picked this saw basically because of the cost. With that you get what you pay for. Was quite disappointed in the components used. Locking handle that clamps the saw is totally plastic. Thumb turn screws for setting the sliding fence are very thin and you get the impression they will ring or bend if over tightened. Motor seem to be running under power. Lazer does not line exactly with the blade. Accuracy of the cuts were 100%.”

Thank you for your feedback and glad to hear the unit is producing 100% accurate cuts. The laser on the unit is adjustable. Please refer to your manual. Our machines are designed to be first fix multi material units and are priced accordingly for this market. “I had superb customer service from Evolution Tools, having purchased a R255SMS saw from Screwfix. There were a couple of missing parts and Screwfix proved unwilling to sort out the issue. I phoned Evolution Tools to explain the problem. They were completely understanding and sent out the missing parts the next day. I remain exceptionally impressed by their customer service and would recommend the company to anyone. Simon”

“I have just updated my cheap Titan table saw to the rage 5 Athens stand/wheels was a mare to set up I have foun the front and back rails are a bit loose tried to tighten no good Feels stable not given it much use hence the 4 stars I would recommend this saw in fact I have to my friend”

“I have used it so far for cutting wood, once set up with set squares it provides a good accurate cut, the built in laser light is very useful. I like this tool, a great buy from Screwfix and would recommend it to the serious DIYer.”
