I bought this for home DIY only used it for about 2 hours seems ok at moment but already the plastic cowling is showing signs of ware on one side where the handle meets the rubber bush also its a pity they cannot designe the handle to stay upright when not in use as it flops down to the back or front and causes a trip hazard on the work area. But its doing what it supposed to do at the moment, time will tell how long it lasts its got a 2 year gaurantee so we will see how good that is when I need it.

Assembly instructions and accessories provided with Rage3 saw were poor, I have one "part" which doesn't have a home and I have been unable to obtain customer support to advise what it is for. Bizarrely the Rage3 saw isn't supplied with a dust bag (albeit that the box shows one attached) which undermines health and safety, it took a while to find and order a dust bag on the evolution web site, which @ £5.98 is a rather stingy exclusion. The mitre saw bench purchased along with the Rage3 saw was very good but neither the bench or saw were provided with suitable bolts, nuts and washers to attach the saw to the bench brackets. As with other brands poor instructions and attention to details have sadly undermined the product.

Review of Rage circular saw. Compared to a professional tool the Rage is crude and its low price is reflected in the cheap looking components. The mounting of body to the sole plate has far too much flex. The arbour has both wobble and end float. There is no way this saw could ever produce a decent clean cut. The user manual has warnings about the blade binding and kick-back which is hardly surprising as the saw does not have a riving knife. This also contributes to a poor quality cut. On the health and safety front there is no provision whatsoever for dust extraction and the saw is hideously noisy. The pyrotechnic display from the motor brushes indicates that the finish on the commutator is as bad as the rest of the tool. At £50 it is very cheap. I would not pay more than that for something this poor though. I bought it to cut into and open up a chipboard floor on a renovation project. My justification is that the whole thing will cost me less than buying a new blade for a good saw when I catch the inevitable nail.

Good clean and accurate cut. Dust bag ineffective. Lots of "nooks crannies" for saw dust to accumulate and make inconvenient to clean out.

At the moment, I cannot write a full review as I haven't actually used the sliding saw. Hopefully, if it works as well as the ease in which it assembled then I will be delighted.

Good mitre saw (not my first) and good value for money and ideal for domestic my needs. Down side - I found that my 90 and 45 mitre (preset) cuts were 1 to 2 degrees out and was not noticeable until after I had completed all my cuts and was assembling my project. Have made some adjustments and it is nearly there but still have to push the blade over whilst cutting to get the perfect cut. I had to re-cut all of my pieces and modify my design so as not to have to bin the wood and start again.

Evolution 305mm disc cutter. I have only used this item for a few cuts so far and it has performed well. However, the design of the shielded safety start button is poor as I cannot depress it when wearing site gloves. Therefore, I have found it necessary to remove my right hand hand glove to operate the cutter. Manageable solution but not ideal - would have awarded a higher score but for this issue.

Just bought a hand held belt sander, delivery next day, used it for 5 minutes before it burnt out, the company i bought it from replaced it immediately, replacement working fine, am hoping this was just bad luck, have had a sliding cross cut saw for a few month now and this had worked hard and been excellant.

purchased a sliding mitre saw to use fitting a new kitchen. easy to use and was very accurate with the cuts. the only draw back was the machine gets covered in sawdust even with a dust bag fitted ,hardly anything went into the bag, have used other makes in the past and not had this problem.

I bought a Rage 3 saw to replace an Erbauer which had sheared its blade retaining bolt. It took about 30 - 45 minutes to assemble the saw, so definitely not able to use straight out of the box. Construction seems fairly solid. Accuracy of cut is questionable however. There is no easy means of adjusting the fence to ensure it is square to the blade when set to zero and this point is not mentioned in the set up instructions, unlike my old machine. The fence is secured by Torx bolts so adjustment requires a special Torx Allen key. On my machine, it appears the fence is perpendicular to the blade on one side, but not on the other, so it looks like the fence is bent in the middle. The blade speed when unloaded seems lower than my old unit but seems to cut OK so maybe the torque is good. The blade guard is effective and covers the blade in its entirety. The machine is light in weight so portability is quite easy. I use the saw mainly for cutting up old timber for the log burner, and also for DIY joinery jobs, where accuracy matters.

As I write I've not used the mitre saw but I have every expectation of its performance. The reason it hasn't been used is that I'm waiting de?ivery of a dust bag. I'm astonished that this essential part is classed as an optional accessorie. I understand that you are a competitive enterprise but this economy seems to be unnecessary. If you feel that this is an unfair criticism I apologize but I think that this item is essential just as a dust collection bag is for a vacuum cleaner. One further note there a was a bolt missing to secure one of the side extensions. It wasn't in the base of the tool nor in the box, I have fitted one myself. These may seem like small matters but it doesn't promote confidence in your company. Once I've actually used the tool I shall write again.
