The evolution sliding mitre saw R210SMS is a great piece of kit, and does exactly what I need it to for a DIYer. Cuts very well, and with the precision of a laser all the better. Only downside is that it doesnt have a dust extraction bag included, and another one I have from another power tool doesnt work. However apart from that its great.

I've not used it much yet but so far it's good. Appears well made. It does, however, start quite abruptly, it's fairly noisy when running and stops quickly.

So far the saw seems OK. Assembly of the stand over complicated, the design could be simplified.

Purchased there electric compactor plate, great for little DIY projects, did a 15 X10 hardstanding and compacted well slower than one of the big commercial ones but that's to be expected ,also recompacted the driveway after a delivery of more gravel ,did a great job. Would recommend for any DIY enthusiast who has alot of use for a compactor plate, pays for itself by the saving made and time from hiring one .

Good product used it a few times. Dose what i brought it for. One thing the blade has caught the wood twice and lifted the wood off the bed it took the clamp up as well. Is this a fault

I didn’t use the new one yet as unfortunately needs assembly but I expect it to be as good as the one I had for occasional DIY. The brushes disintegrated and dropped into the motor which then failed and new brushes didn’t help - it ran but sounded awful. Hope the longevity of new one is better

Very pleased with tablesaw accurate and .well built. Blade guide a bit difficult to use as you have to set the saw blade really high so timber can go under it.Apart from that a good product for DIY and pro,s

A simple tool but with limitations having to cut two angles at once is a bit of a chore as the angle indicator on the bottom rear part of the saw doesn't show enough angles. I needed to cut at 45 degrees with a 25 degree angle done by judgement and a couple of tries.

Well made and easy to use out of the box after a short time to set up. Cuts well and leaves a neat edge. The only thing to watch out for is that it throws back quite a bit of bits as it cuts. So if you are cutting something like board with melamine it tends to throw the bits all over the place so you need to ensure you have glasses on of some sort. It's frustrating that a dust extraction bag is not included as standard in all models. Luckily I have a vacuum that I use but there are no attachments to ensure a good connection to the saw. The fit to the Evolution saw table is annoying and not clear at all and only says compatible. Considering it's the latest model is annoying that the instructions are so poor. However, it made my job a lot easier with a better finish and a lot quicker.

Build quality and features seem good, only used it a couple of times so far but quality and accuracy of cut also seems good.

Good overall preformance. Easy to use but dust bag is a waste of time. Tried connecting a VAX to collect the dust but no better. Best to let the dust go straight out an hover up When you have finished.

I have just got the Evolution R210SMS 210mm Single-Bevel Sliding Compound Mitre Saw 230V actually because the previous model of this saw packed up after 2 years casual use. However Screwfix were great as always and replaced it with this new model. To be honest at this price point if it packs up after three years I would just buy another one. It has the features of much more expensive machines and if I need greater capacity I would go to my table saw. The blade is amazingly thin. I would be prepared to use the same blade on plastics and PVC, but probably not on metals. I did try cutting metal tubing on the previous machine (mainly aluminium and brass) but found that the subsequent tear out on wood was pretty bad. But the blades are pretty cheap and easy to change so maybe a separate blade for those jobs is the answer. I found the angles pretty true and if they get out of alignment you can get them right yourself easily. The saw id light and easy to transport. As I said at this price it is a pretty amazing saw.

Evolution Rage 3B Great value for money power tools. Quite innovative, however some aspects of design could be better. Workpiece clamp as an example is very flimsy and doesn't clamp very well. Otherwise it's a good piece of equipment

Excellent tool which I have been using to run the tongue and grooce off of attic floorboards. A couplevof things - I am lefthanded and find that handling the saw is a little difficult. Secondly a laser guide light would really assis when rippind down floorboards.

Bought it for my Daughter to use. I was a bit worried about her using it. Probably a bit to big for what she is using it for. It's a bit noisy for her but a set of Ear protectors solved this. But with a bit of instruction from me she is handling it quite well. It could do with a few clamps and jigs to make it safer for her to cut small pieces, which I have now made up. So far I'm please with it and will be making a few items myself now
