“We recently purchased the DISCUTT 12" power saw to replace the same one we bought in 2017 which was stolen. We LOVED LOVED the old one but not the new one. The new one has the drive mounted to the right side obscuring the cutting view meaning that while cutting, the operator must slightly tilt the machine to the left to see what he is cutting. We wonder if the machine we were sent was intended for a left-hand operator and was just sold to us to "get rid of them." Also, on first use, using same commercial extension cord, the machine power "glitched" and tripped both breakers.”

“Over the last couple of years, I have purchased a mag drill, compound miter saw, chop saw, and two circular saws. Overall am very pleased with the products. I live in Japan and have been ordering Evolution products from both the UK and America. The freight forwarding adds a bit of a delay, but the time it took from when I placed the order to delivery to the freight forwarder has always been on time. I am not too impressed with the folding stand for the miter saw, however. It does not seem to lock in the saw very well and have been trying to come up with some sort of easy-to-manage modification. The chop saw blade guard mechanism fell apart but the application of Locktite upon re-assembly remedied that issue. I have been cutting steel with the same blade for well over a year and a half. I would have easily gone through well over 50 abrasive wheel blades for the amount of cutting I have done. Mostly 2.5 to 5 mm steel pipe and angle. Be cautioned that when cutting small pieces of steel, the piece tends to kick out and become a projectile. The cast tab, behind the blade which helps guide the metal chips into the collector bin, broke off as a result of one such incident. The mag drill I have been equally impressed. My 12mm cutter and center pin did however shatter after scores of holes were cut, which was probably due to the backing of the steel bar I was drilling at the time. I set up a makeshift drill press on a piece of 20mm steel plate to fabricate dozens of identical brackets. Overall, my experience with the products has been beyond fantastic and well worth the investment. I have absolutely no regrets!”

“Purchased the 7-1/4" miter saw for cutting smaller steel tubing. It works great and does everything I need it to. If purchasing for cutting steel order the steel blade with it, the combo blade makes rough cuts in steel.”

“I have an Evolution portable table saw, this was a great addition to my workshop, the three in one blade it came with works very well I have used it on wood, perspex, aluminium and 3mm steel. I have since added additional blades with different tooth sizes.”

“I got this for cutting tubing for a bee funnel I'm making for my business. I paired it up with the steel blade and it cuts thru 3/16 square tube like a hot knife thru butter. The miter cuts work excellent as well. Overall it's an excellent buy. The only downfall and it's a minor one is go thru and lock tight the screws for your deepest cuts and the stop for the saw when it comes back up. Once I did that because the screws backed out it's been golden.”

“Electric compactor plate Initially, I thought I had made a mistake in going for the electric rather than the petrol compactor. However, having now used it a few times, my initial worries were unfounded. The advantages over the petrol version make it so much better for small jobs. No running out of fuel and fuel storage, no fumes, no stopping and starting the engine after each run, much quieter and easier to move about. Downside is that you wouldn't want to use it in wet weather and no use without a handy power supply. I would recommend this product for any keen diy person.”

“This is a review of the Rage 5s zero-clearance throat plate upgrade. The product is generally well-made and fits the machine perfectly. I have used other zero-clearance throat plates for this saw previously. But the replaceable inserts on this one will hopefully make it more economic and long lasting than others. The only criticism I have so far is that the plastic insert seems quite flimsy. Long term use will tell if the product is value for money or not.”

“Ordered a replacement riving knife for the Fury S5 table saw. I adapted the original that came with the saw so the riving knife and blade were below the table. Soon after, I realised that reducing the riving knife height had also reduced the height of wood I could use safely on the saw. Also, the blade guard and vacuum port could not be attached for certain sizes of timber. It worked OK until a near miss nearly cost me my fingers so now I'm ordering the original riving knife and reinstalling it. The replacement is an original part and of excellent quality.”

“I've always owned cheapie circular saws with a stamped steel base, but decided it was time to buy one with a diecast base. I used my new saw with a guide to cut butcher block and it made a perfect cut. Nicest saw I ever owned and probably the last. I bought on sale and it is one of my best purchases of the year.”
