Got the mitre saw stand to go with my Evolution mitre saw, good & solid, well made, should have got it 18 months ago when I got the saw. Saves grovelling round on the floor.

Great piece of kit at great price. Once set-up and properly adjusted it’s very accurate in use. Minor gripes: blade guard doesn’t allow free feeding of thicker materials without manually lifting it first; adding swivel castors to the frame foot would allow easy sideways manoeuvrability when folded. Machine is too wide to go through standard internal doors on existing ‘trolley’ wheels.

I have the rage table saw, the rage mitre saw and have recently purchased the power file. I am extremely happy with all of my purchases and will keep a watching brief on any new evolution power tools. If asked I would not hesitate in recommending evolution tools to any of my friends telling them of the quality and accuracy of them. Carry on the good work.

Mitre saw seems very accurate straight out of the box but have only used it for 5 mins.

I assembled the machine without much difficulty by following the manual and watching a you tube video, although I had to substitute some 8mm washers for a missing spacer. I tested by trimming an old section of door frame timber that had a few nails in it which it not only cut without any problem but also enabled me to make all four sides perfectly square. That's a degree of accuracy I did not expect. It can be set to trim wafer thin cuts of wood. The dust extraction facility is excellent when used with my vac. It's easy to fold away for storage and quite manoeuvrable which was an important consideration for me as my work space is limited. All in all I am very well pleased with this machine and I expect to get extensive use out of it. I would recommend it both for a DIY enthusiast and a tradesman (or woman 😂 )

The R255 SMS mitre saw I purchased from Screwfix is very well engineered and robust and reasonably priced and I am generally impressed with its performance. The only slight issue is the laser unit which is not as accurate as I had hoped as it is slightly out of plumb on the vertical axis which means that I cannot follow a pencil mark for cutting as (a) the adjustment tolerance will not allow the laser line to move either to the blade centre line or where I prefer the left hand tip of the cutting teeth on the waste side and (b) the distance from the line to the blade varies with depth of material. There does not appear to be any adjustment for this in the manual, only lateral position (not enough) and out of parallel. In practise this is not an issue as it is easy enough to set the blade teeth to the edge of a pencil line, in light of this I would question why this feature has been included if it is of no practical use.

The R210SMS and stand are a great combination for DIY projects and more professional work. Easy to assemble and align, so angles are always perfect! Have to see how long the blade lasts, but the equipment has a 3year warranty, so I'm quite confident about the hardware.

I'm not sure that it made me happy, because I wasn't unhappy beforehand. However, the chop saw exceeded my expectations and has been a significant aid to my metalworking.
