“Needed a compactor for a small job. This looked very good and the reviews were also good. It takes one or two goes extra over scalping's compared to larger machines but a small price to pay. Being electric its very quiet. Just remember you have a lead and keep it out of the way of the base plate. Would I recommend this compactor...absolutely”

“Had a cheap circular saw with a broken tooth this was almost as cheap as a replacement blade. I use for general wood work and cutting logs & pallets so cutting metal will be useful. Have not used much so can't rate. I have noticed there is no riving knife so not sure if kick back will be an issue”

“The Mitre Saw Stand I purchased from Screwfix is an excellent product like all the tools I have from Evolution, in fact I was so impressed with the stabilty of the unit I contacted your Spares Department and ordered an additional pair of Clamp Arms so that I can easily swap over a couple of operations and save time. The Internet ordered goods turned up in a day so now I have only to mount up the Rip Saw and get busy. Well done. However I took the trouble to email Evolution concerning the Mess the current Registartion form creates with arbitary Capitalisation in Email addresses etc and overwriting of perfectly correct address data when completing the Post Code. I have received no response and initially thought this message was an acknowledgement.”

“I bought this tool for cutting picture frame miters. I have cut and glued up two frames so far with no problems. Given that the end result can only be perfect or rubbish, the saw dose the job well. The setting of the saw to 45 to the right and resetting to the left needs care, but did not require any adjustment other than pushing to its full travel. I am a happy buyer.”

“Used it once since purchase last week to fit skirting boards in a living room. Internal/external mitres were spot on. Really smooth cutting action. Bit of a pain putting it together when you get it out of the box but I was wanting to get on with the job so had not thought about having to set it up. Cup of tea and 15 mins later we were up and running. So far so good.”

“I bought the mitre saw and stand from screwfix. Ive just made two sheds and a wooden porch in the last week in half the usual time. The tools have been great. The quick release on the stand is great for moving the stand around. The saw cuts through wet , knotty timber with ease. Only downside have been the stand rollers try to come loose and the saw doesn't have a dustbag.”

“I brought the evolution 6 with table saw wich is very good using both the miter saw and table there are a few slightly annoying points though getting it to switch from miter to table saw if a bit of a faff as is actually getting the miter to zero also leaves quite a rough edge when cutting wood that said for a saw that cuts a wide range of materials with a table saw thrown in all for around £100 it's not bad at all”

“THE MITRE SAW I BOUGHT IS OF GOOD QUALITY AND GOOD PRICE HAVE ONLY USED IT A FEW TIMES BUT IS EXCELLENT IN THE PRECISION CUTTING OF THE WOOD AND METAL I HAVE USED IT FOR”
