“Design and build appear very good: very solid feel; mechanics work smoothly; intelligent use of vibration absorbing materials. All operations are straightforward: ergonomics are good; adjustments are simple (hex-key secured to tool). Instructions are clear and comprehensive. Comes in very useable case. All in all exceptional value for the price asked. If reliability proves good over time, would merit a Very Good rating.”

“Excellent tool for the money, easy quick set up, sturdy and reliable. Out of the box I cut joists and decking for 3 hrs advice never faltered. Would recommend for the diy amongst us”

“Very good, easy to set up and very efficient and accurate. Only complaint is the need to move the clamp from one side to the other when changing from a vertical cut to a 45 degree cut otherwise excellent.”

“My first venture with a reciprocating saw - seems an impressive piece of kit. Hoped to tackle replacing some 8" x 4" Softwood Sleepers, but not yet developed a great technique to keep the workpiece contact plate in the right place and seem to keep ejecting the blade from the blade holder. Not yet sure if it's me or the blade holder design - definately installing the blade as per. the instruction manual.”

“Only had it a couple of weeks, but so far quite impressed. It seems well built and was relatively easy to set up. In some reviews people had said that their machine was out of square, but I have had no problems with that. So far I have used it to cut some timber using the multi pupose disc and cut a 15deg angle on 200 pavers using a diamond wheel which it did with little effort, although you need to protect the machine against the dust and use a vacuum on the dust extraction.”

“This is my first purchase of an Evolution Power tool and so far so good. Only had it a few days but it is performing well and meeting my expectations. Time will tell if it proves a reliable tool but the early indications are that it will be. Overall, I'm impressed with the build quality and believe it represents very good value for money.”

“I have not had time to use my bench saw yet but one thing that I would like to make plain is that the instructions are a nightmare, the picture are in most hard to see and the written instructions difficult to understand. It took me most of the day to fit everything together.”

“I've only used the saw once to lay some wood flooring. Although impressed in general, I have some slight misgivings that may or may not be fair. I find that I can move the saw head very slightly from side to side as I bring it down, I'm not sure if this is by design or not, but I expected it to be more fixed to give a straight and precise cut. Also, so far it hasn't been sliding very well and instead of a smooth slide it sticks and then jumps making the cuts frayed and uneven. Maybe I need to oil the gliders or it will improve over time. These issues aside, for the money I think this is an excellent piece of kit.”
