“I wondered why I could not properly adjust the height or the angle of the blade. When I looked closer the whole of the motor / blade mechanism had come loose from the u shaped brackets that control the travel and precision movement. I was able to remove one bracket and realign the whole mechanism back onto both brackets. I then for safety sake checked all clearances and adjustments prior to switching the machine on. All this rather than dismantle the complicated stand and repack the whole thing back in the box, what a nightmare that would have been. However this happened I have no idea, only that it all came adrift in transit. The unit now seems to be working really well and does a good job. Time will tell how well it works on my DIY jobs.”

“I needed a saw so purchased circular saw 165mm and was amazed at the quality for the price so I purchased the 255mm sliding mitre saw the blades in both are fantastic the only gripe it would have been nice to get a dust bag jig saw next well done evolution would recommend to anyone the mitre saw is so good I gave my son my Makita keep up the good quality”

“Nicely made, assembly instructions for the support framework needed help from YouTube. First impressions of the framework is that it might slightly obstruct movement around the saw table but we will see. I like the flexibility to cut different materials but not cut steel in anger yet!”

“I wanted to buy spare parts for a Rage 5 table saw and was told it was discontinued and they dont hold spare parts. Very disappointing.”

The factory that supplied the Rage 5 closed unexpectedly, which is why we only carried a limited amount of spare parts. There have sold out over the last couple of years. Apologies we could not assist further.

“Only bought combi mitre saw recently so not had too much use yet."Some assembly required" was a little optimistic. Took approximately 45 minutes to assemble. Lots of drawings to follow at each stage though some were somewhat confusing. Had to realign laser beam as it was some way off, though that operation was simple to follow. Good solid machine which looks the part.”

“Certainly good value, unfortunate that Evolution dont seem to do a 60 or 80 tooth blade but the one supplied was ok & found an 80T with a bore reducer (30 to 25.4mm) by Saxton. Easy assembly but the user-fitted cable holder at the rear is not great as the self-tapper strips out *really* easily (had to re-drill & use a longer screw) but that fixed the problem (should be a machine screw threading into a metal insert but it isn't so don't over-tighten!). 90 & 45 degree bevel cuts had to be set properly but adjustment was simple, the 45 degree mitre cuts were spot-on straight from the box :). Apart from niggles above, a great saw that will improve the quality & speed of work. Thank you Evolution :)”
