“I purchased this machine because of the depth of cut in the specifications which was 80mm +,however on assembly I find this to be far from correct, of course I could achieve this depth by removing the crown guard but I don`t think you would advise this??The machine was very easy to assemble.”

“It is early days as I have only had the saw for a week. I am confident about a wise purchase as I have only "played" with it so far. The instructions are, shall I say typical. It would be helpful to actually define which part of the saw is the front and which is the back. Logical one would assume? But mounting the brackets for using with the saw stand which was also purchased with the saw generated "let's kick the cat moments". All in all a decent tool with a decent price from Screwfix.”

“mitre saw, very good. Like the soft start and brake, also very quiet for its size. All angles are good, and mated to the Evolution saw stand it does the business. I suppose a few people will gripe about there being no visual quick set up guide , but it was all common sense , when you read the supplied book. In all a very good saw , and we will see how it copes with general use.”

“I bought the Rage3 to repack an old mitre saw that was very tired, but I didn’t realise just how much difference there was to this piece of kit until I used it! The Rage3 is a super tool to use. I recommend if you need their help talk to the helpline guys they are very good, professional and you can tell in how they speak they are proud of the kit they support.”

“great little saw for diy. one slight problem . on the 45* setting i found , on mine at least, that the blade just caught the fixed aluminium upright at the back on right. after the first time it was cut so ok. there is no dust bag so i tried the one out of my wife's vac- very painful when the wife catches you. i ordered a cloth bag one off ebay .taped a plastic bag on temporarily. works upto a point. make sure you note that there is a pointer imprinted on the surface for setting at 90*. don't assume that it is the back plate or you will be out by 2 * it is so dinky and perfect for use when screwed onto a movable folding bench. saved me hours cutting up 1800 mm. x 50 mm. round stakes into 200 mm lengths with mitres, one 45* cut is two mitres - for knocking into the grass, to edge between the lawn and wood chippings. definitely one of the best tools i have bought. could not find it any cheaper than £60 from screwfix.- upto £70 + on ebay. after reassessing and using i now rate it 5 star.”
