The saw was a bit bigger than i had anticipated. So far I have cut several large wooden planks, which it cut like a knife through butter. I am a little worried that the parts for adjusting the angle and depth of cut seem a little flimsy. However, so far so good.

I already own and am pleased with an Evolution circular saw. When the need for a saw bench arose the multi cut blade made Evolution an obvious choice. Assembly was quite straight forward and the first few cuts suggested an excellent product. However, after making around 30 cuts through some 3x2 timbers the saw stopped cutting although the motor was running. Investigation reveals that the saw blade is loose but the locating bolt is tight? The instruction book does not explain how to lock the motor so that I can remove the blade and find out what is wrong. So first impressions have changed and I am now beginning to regret my choice.

I have been using my evolution chopsaw to cut up old demolition timber so it could be burnt on my open fire this used to be a big problem with my old chopsaw going through lots of blades the Evolution saw had no problem with cutting through the old nails I am over the moon with it

After reading other reviews I picket the rave 3s. it was easy to set up. I want to mitre coving and skirting boards for a large dolls house. I made a wooden mitre block to sit on the saw table so I would not have to much play around the sides of the blade. The result was great, no splitting and the angles where perfect, The saw was good on normal size wood. Have not tried it on metal yet. but see no problems. I would recommend this saw. The only down side is the dust bag, it must be made better so it can pick up more dust.
