Hulk Electro plus Block pad. Pad did not fit machine, spent hours trying......Contacted Evolution promised return call. Did not happen. Contacted FFX, supplier who in turn dealt with Evolution who could not make the pad they had in stock fit machine either!!! Second pad eventually arrived. This had been worked on to make a fit. Two additional holes drilled in clamp. Maintain lip on back of machine not deep enough for secure and safe clamping. Hulk tested OK with pad fitted, not used on Job yet which is now running two weeks late due to above issues. It has meant we are now working on the blocks in the weed growing season which will make re-sanding less likely to be effective. VERY disappointing Phil Hoyle

Unfortunately, my second Evolution Rage 3s Sliding Mitre Saw is NOT as good as the first. I bought another after the motor on my first mitre saw packed up after nearly 3 yrs of hard work. A new one was only £20 more than a reconditioned unit which only has 90 days warranty as against 1 year. So I phoned Screwfix and it was delivered the next day. However, when assembled I discovered that the rotating table was NOT level with the two fixed side plates, in addition the rotating table was not flat - checked with a steel rule across the rear fence. I rejected this machine and collected a replacement from Screwfix the next day. I inspected this second machine and this ALSO was not level, but checked the display model which was a lot better(but not as good as my previous machine which was perfect). I took this display model as I had work to do and there were no more in stock. I will double check this display model when I get a few minutes to spare and it may be rejected again.......... Screwfix service was excellent however with no quibble at all. TIP - Take an 18" steel rule and lay it across the machine against the rear fence if you buy one in store. It should sit perfectly flat across the machined table. I bought this as I was impressed with my first machine but Evolution obviously have a quality control problem in their Chinese factory and I intend to speak to Evolution direct in the next few days. If you get a good one it is excellent but check before you buy!

I was using the hammer drill for less than 5 minutes when the handle bracket broke, so far the drill has worked fine. I am only using the drill for light DIY jobs at home.

the capacitor failed in my tct compound mitre saw after approx. 2hours operation. Cost of repair was quoted as £64 plus returning the machine to evolution. The initial cost of the machine was£98 from B&Q. Apart from the inconvenience of having to return the machine the economics of the repair are completely unsatisfactory. Why are there not local agents for repair or at least local stockist of spares. It was more economic for me to purchase a new machine at £98 and quicker. In these circumstances I would not recommend the purchase of this machine to others. I now have a machine that will not work and is uneconomic to repair.

My purchase was an Evolution Pressure Washer which suffered 3 critical failures within weeks of ownership. 1 The petrol cap failed 2 The weld holding the wheel axle failed. 3 The pressure hose burst. In overall terms the concept is brilliant and, once the inherent design/ reliability issues are resolved, I would still consider buying another one.

Contacted customer service to get a replacement part which was broken from purchase (could not return as item was purchased when working away and didnt fancy a 6 hour round trip) evolution told me I would have to buy the spare part off them.. machine is left in the garage unusable gathering rust as we speak waste of £120

The Evolution Saw, I purchased was very disappointing, it is inaccurate and has too much play in the settings no matter how much care is taken in setting the saw up, it has too much movement within the locked settings, resulting in inaccurate cuts, also very poor sliding mechanism, only really suitable for sub-standard D.I.Y work at best!!!

I know the drill was in the budget range, but I had to send it back after 6 months for repair and well done to you, I was sent a new drill. After another 6 months the new drill had the same fault so I deposited it into the nearest skip You get what you pay for! So I bought a more expensive drill and it's not let me down. the bolt that tightens up the base plate has broken so I have not been able to use my skill saw as the base plate keeps moving up

The back plate is not exactly square with the base therefore when I attempt to do an angled cut, it is not perfect. To rectify this, I have to put a piece of packing between the back plate and the wood that I am cutting so as to hold it square. Otherwise, doing a straight cut is OK.

I bought a table saw/ mitre saw, I used it about 5 or 6 times over 12 months . The mitre saw was very good but when set up as a table saw it was inaccurate. The week the guarantee expired the switch for the table saw developed a fault and would not work. I contacted customer services who told me to go and buy a new one as it would be cheaper than returning the saw. They agreed to sell me a replacement switch for a few pounds plus delivery by post and an admin charge. The total cost was about £18. The switch was about one third of the cost and was sent by first class post, the postage was the cost of an envelope and a first class stamp, overall a poor switch with a limited life span spoiled the machine andc pretty poor service T R Charlton

I have both an Evolution Sliding Mitre Saw and a Table Saw. Whilst reasonably happy with their performance am disappointed that the Mitre Saw cut (Wood) is rather ragged and that the Table saw can not take a Dado chipper blade. Had I been aware of these shortcomings I would probably gone for another manufacturers equipment with a greater RPM and arbor depth.

The blade on the power circular saw seems to be loose and does not cut properly as a result. Even though I have tightened the fixing screw every time I have used it, it becomes loose again in a few minutes. The chopper saw is much better and rates a 5 star reward.
