The sliding mechanism is stiff, sounds rough. It is difficult to slide and cut at the same time. Would not be suitable for trench cuts. I'll try the saw a bit more, but may send it back.

Hi the email you sent confirming registration of my guarantee... Came from an unknown email address.. I found this rather unnerving.

Could not get the saw head to click home on the shafts marked red and white. Had to remove burr from inside holes and also had to file the ends of the red and white plastic pins in order to make it fit and click home securely. If I had not fixed the problem and had overlooked it the result could have been highly dangerous had the saw head come off during use. Other than that the saw seems to be well built, not used yet to see how it performs.

Not fit for purpose, green push pull button difficult to the point of annoying, limited cutting depth, bevel cut too achieve 45 degree cut, simply could not accurately be achieved, adjustment mechanism very poor. Returned unit to B&Q for return of payment and will look for an alternative, unit looks good and useful but on use very limited.

I have recently purchased a Rage 3 FP2552 255mm saw and frankly am very disappointed. The fence alignment was way out as was the laser. You must surely have a quality control department which should have picked this up prior to release. I realise your Instruction manual does give instructions as to how adjustments may be made but the degree both the fence and the laser were misaligned should, in my opinion have been rectified by your QC dept. Very robust machine. I have gave two stars because my reservations are the cheap plastic adjustment knobs. I do not think they will last or take any serious usage. Martin

I was quite excited about the performance after reading previous reviews but am gutted with what i've bought. There's about as much vibration from the handle as there is from the plate and that's not enough to level much. I've had to go back to my old scaffold acro to get decent result, wish i hadn't wasted 200 quid.

Have to pay extra for Mitre Saw Accessory Pack 5Pcs .This should be in the box when you buy the saw. Not happy.

This is a neat little tool that does the job, but it gets so hot very quickly that I had wear gardening gloves to use it. The dust bag does not seem to collect much of the dust and is constantly falling off.

After only having the saw only 9 months it burnt out even though it had only had light usage . My previous saw of a different make lasted over 8 years with very heavy usage

I purchased a 305mm electric disc cutter. We were using it for cutting into a concrete floor but on the first day of use the screws holding the main handle underneath came undone . We refitted and tightened the screws, however soon afterwards the same thing occurred again but this time one of the screws was lost completely. The result was that the handle was insecure and we did not have proper control of it. There was no problem with the operation of the saw itself. I returned the machine to my supplier who contacted the manufacturer. In fairness they authorised me to be issued with a new replacement immediately. My concern is that the same thing will happen again as soon as we use the saw. I intended to now purchase a Twister but in view of my recent experience am a little concerned about the build quality.

sadly this time I tried to purchase a jigsaw and recieved a plunge circular saw spoke with a representative who gave no ground (you got what you asked for £69.99 later) the rub was to get my £69.99 back i had to pay for the return of the goods £19.99 needles to say i did not get the jigsaw and they have lost countless sales now and in the future one bad experiance soon gets around.

I suppose you get what you pay for but this saw has too many basic poor design issues. Almost as if this was a graduate design project, basic skills right but more experience needed to be good. Blade can't cut vertical at highest setting because motor clashes with a frame cross member, plastic teeth on gears for winding saw position weak and broke quickly on mine, saw position locknut very weak and broke first time was used, lifting hands if positioned just half an inch differently would make the removal of plastic bottom cover (mine was cracked on receipt) much easier. Took a lot of work to get the riving knife parallel with the blade, sliding rail not a very tight fit in guide groove leaving too much slack in the positioning of sliding table. Worst thing I wrote to evolution to get repairs under warranty a month or more ago and still not heard from them!!

Your website to register my saw was a disaster...every time I tried to enter MY OWN INFOMATION it sent a message over the top trying to "2nd guess" what I wanted to print, eg addresses in LONDON when I put in my road name etc. his was infuriating & made the whole process a nightmare. After I inserted the CORRECT house number it changed my number to 14 instead of 48Millway causing me to have to start the process all over again. It now seems I'm registered TWICE. once with the wrong number & once with the CORRECT one!! Sort this out please!!!

The slide saw itself seems to be satisfactory. Most companies have a shortened set up leaflet, this one doesn't. When setting up the saw, a necessary locking bolt was not clearly mentioned in the manual. Sent an e mail 4 days ago, still waiting for a response. sorted it out myself. See how long before I get a response after this review!!

The saw rage 3 seems to work great so far & the setup video online was a great idea. Sadly I bought my saw from Screwfix who had a video stating the saw came with a dust bag which, after opening the box, I found was not included. After complaining to Screwfix a few times I was told they don't sell the dust bag & refused to help anymore even though it was their company review video that stated the product came with the dust collection bag.

I have just purchased an Evolution RAGE3FP2551 255mm Compound Mitre Saw, and have used it extensively for the last 5 weeks. I have given the rating as "poor" because of the inaccuracy of the saw. The slots for the angle of the table are not accurate, I had to file the slot on mine at 90 Degrees, and 15 Degrees. The bevel scale is also inaccurate. This means that every time I need a bevel or mitre, I have to reset the saw at 90 Deg. With a square, this is time consuming. The saw is very powerful, and easily cuts the largest acceptable timber, but the inaccuracy lets it down. You are better off spending a little more on a DeWalt or Makita saw if you require the accuracy. Overall not up to the normal Evolution standards. Dr. Wilson

bought this 7 weeks ago, only started to use it 3 weeks ago, and then it stopped working, it has been returned back for repair or replacement, un acceptable, for a new item.
