Used for about a month and a half before motor developed a fault..not very impressed, also noticed hand part on body of unit gets very hot and only able to run unit for about five minutes at a time before having to switch off for 20 minutes to cool down.

I must say that I am rather concerned at the quality of this product. I bought it somewhat on the British Innovation but on assembling noted the made in PRC label which seems to confirm my concerns. I accept that items made in China can be as good as anywhere, it is all dependent on the quality control but the finish on the product makes me question the QC. The paint which is powder coat (good) is very poorly applied, there is either contamination or corrosion under the panels (legs and side supports). The metal is very thin. Assembly is a challenge, long winded and I would expect spring washers rather than, or as well as flat washers to be used considering the constant vibration the machine will operate under. There is a small grub screw in the mitre setting assembly for which there is no allen key supplied and the spanners supplied would not aid assembly at all. I would not expect spanners to be supplied but the manual should specify the assembly tools required. The manual itself is poorly printed, almost a poor photocopy and I had to download the pdf version to aid assembly as well as identify the broken part. In the original as well as the replacement mitre assembly the pivot pin that is a push fit in the mitre angle block had not been inserted far enough into the casting and was binding on the table (actually scoring the aluminium). Whilst this was easily remedied through the judicial use of a vice not all your customers will have access to a vice or the mechanical knowledge to resolve this. The mitre slide itself is a very poor fit in the guide and can give a variation of a couple of degrees when sliding the mitre assembly through the blade, this obviously affects the quality of any joints being prepared through the use of the mitre. In use (very little so far, as long as check and ajustments to compensate for the fits the saw seems to perform adequately. I would appreciate your technical department's comments on the above items.

Product was faulty with a safety issue, so no pints there. Good quick response and product was replaced by screwfix without issue.

The machine was supplied with 4 sanding belts but no information on the coarseness or otherwise of the belts, the one attached to the machine was 80 which I later found to be medium however it literally gouged the surface of the door I was sanding making a real mess. That is why I have given it a low rating.

On the third cut of using the saw the blade came loose and spun into the gaurd (good job it had a decent gaurd otherwise it would have done some injury to me ) and now feel it has compromised the blade and the saw motor does not sound the same ???????????????? not impressed

Innovative tools at very good prices - cheap prices. Noisy, cheap motors and gearing. The saying "you get what you pay for" really does describe it best. Amateurs and diy enthusiasts may be pleased with the features but professional tradesmen should avoid to avoid disappointment.

My saw was barely used but broke anyways.

30 degree cut is actually 60 degree with 120 degree offcut. machine will not cut angles below 45 degrees which is extremely limiting. Not much use to me, you should make the limitations clear

Its an OK table saw, but after checking with a square if the blade is at 90' when the guide says so, it's not. The fence is not square to the blade and needs adjustment with a tape. I don't think its worth the £300 + that I payed for it and I will probably sell it on for a loss and buy another make after checking the market for what is better. Maybe you should try using them before selling them.

I bought this saw from Screwfix and after using it for two days a slice of metal fell out of the guard and the guard stopped working which made it unsafe to use. Having said that, when I returned it to the store they replaced it without a problem. While in use the saw cut cleanly though I was using it to cut softwoods about 1 cm thick. It appeared to be made from decent quality materials and sat well on the bench and the cutting stand. Perhaps I just got a poor saw. I will know more when the replacement arrives and I see how long it lasts.

used rage3s compound mitre saw 4 times just cutting timber, was disappointed has it burnt out. took it back to screw fix and they replaced it. If the replacement lasts I might change my rating of Evolution tools. The only tool I can say is good is the mitre stand.

Hulk Electro plus Block pad. Pad did not fit machine, spent hours trying......Contacted Evolution promised return call. Did not happen. Contacted FFX, supplier who in turn dealt with Evolution who could not make the pad they had in stock fit machine either!!! Second pad eventually arrived. This had been worked on to make a fit. Two additional holes drilled in clamp. Maintain lip on back of machine not deep enough for secure and safe clamping. Hulk tested OK with pad fitted, not used on Job yet which is now running two weeks late due to above issues. It has meant we are now working on the blocks in the weed growing season which will make re-sanding less likely to be effective. VERY disappointing Phil Hoyle

Unfortunately, my second Evolution Rage 3s Sliding Mitre Saw is NOT as good as the first. I bought another after the motor on my first mitre saw packed up after nearly 3 yrs of hard work. A new one was only £20 more than a reconditioned unit which only has 90 days warranty as against 1 year. So I phoned Screwfix and it was delivered the next day. However, when assembled I discovered that the rotating table was NOT level with the two fixed side plates, in addition the rotating table was not flat - checked with a steel rule across the rear fence. I rejected this machine and collected a replacement from Screwfix the next day. I inspected this second machine and this ALSO was not level, but checked the display model which was a lot better(but not as good as my previous machine which was perfect). I took this display model as I had work to do and there were no more in stock. I will double check this display model when I get a few minutes to spare and it may be rejected again.......... Screwfix service was excellent however with no quibble at all. TIP - Take an 18" steel rule and lay it across the machine against the rear fence if you buy one in store. It should sit perfectly flat across the machined table. I bought this as I was impressed with my first machine but Evolution obviously have a quality control problem in their Chinese factory and I intend to speak to Evolution direct in the next few days. If you get a good one it is excellent but check before you buy!

I was using the hammer drill for less than 5 minutes when the handle bracket broke, so far the drill has worked fine. I am only using the drill for light DIY jobs at home.
