“Brought an Evolution Jig saw from Screw Fix on a bit of a whim. It was on offer in the sale. It looked quite good, with plenty of functions and what appeared to be innovative ideas. quite a heavy duty motor on it as well which was the main reason for purchase as my lightweight Makita was struggling with the job I had on. That really is where things stopped. I was less than impressed with all the 'bits' that were in the box and no bag to keep it all together. Most of the attachments were snap on plastic that I was frightened would break getting them on and off. When I eventually got round to using it I found it didn't really cut in a straight line. Not really what you want in a saw!!!”

“We bought a Rage 3 saw, sliding mitre, you said it would cut steel bar up to 12 mm solid, it would not do this job well as the blade was worn out after a dozen cuts. A very disappointed customer, the concept is good but not quite thought through yet.”

Hello, Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your purchase. As this is a multi purpose machine it is made to cut a multitude of different materials and cutting solely metal with unfortunately reduce your blade life. We do offer a steel based machine if you are only cutting metals. Thank you.

“I have not received my item yet!!! It was meant to be delivered the 27th January, apparently it's out of stock but the person I spoke with was meant to call me back..........I'm still waiting, not sure when I will receive my item”

“I am unhappy with my purchase .The saw itself I know is good, due to having used my brothers on lots of occasions, this is the main reason I bought it, on his recommendation as well. The problem is the fence/guide, it is not straight and true. I did return to Screwfix and they replaced a small machined part of the guide to see if would improve the matter, but it has not. I have been very busy since I bought the saw, and not really had any other opportunity to attempt to fix the problem. I did try to adjust the fence with the bolts but the angles are still not right. I feel the whole fence needs to be replaced and then realigned to get it in the correct place.”

“I'm not sure if I'm being asked to write a review of 'Evolution Tools' or the piece of equipment that I bought so first off, I'm assuming it's the bench saw - the Evolution FURY5 255mm Multipurpose Table Saw to be precise. Since I bought it through Amazon UK I had no contact with Evolution Tools. So, onto the bench saw. Basically it was a piece of crap that was cheap and nasty and not a pleasure to use. The saw cut very well but it was let down BADLY by the sliding fence which was sticky (metal sliding on metal) and not a great fit (moved laterally too much) so you were never going to get a repetitive square edge unless you forced the fence into the same side of it's movement each time. However, I was extremely lucky (?!?!) that when using the 45 deg mitre function, the actual locking mechanism broke and I couldn't then get the saw blade to change angle so I was able to send it back to Amazon for a full refund and as always, Amazon were great about it and DPD collected it next day and refund was processed within days. Overall I was very disappointed with this saw both from a quality and operating point of view.”
