Tank and pump are great. The hose that came with it is absolutely terrible. Constantly kinked. Definitely will be changing the hose.

The plastic extensions to the cutting bed are not stiff enough and deflect when the clamps are used. No information on setting up the blade angles for square cutting. Otherwise the saw does ever thing I want cut and is speedy in operation.

Tool worked well after a lot of adjusting (I.e. adjusting the shoe so that the blade was parallel to the track). I should not have had to do that - it should have been properly set at the factory. It ruined the splinter guard on one of the rails.

Good Cutting quality, 2 things I'd like to see for upgrade for all of us when we purchased this saw, A heavier base plate mine came with a bent plate I'm thinking like all cast metal base plate, Blade Guard needs something to raise it UP this jams using the slide guide plates un safe putting fingers near blade to pull up the guard.

I have had no feedback from my customer so I am only able to give this product 4 out of 5. I am sure though that it will be as good a standard as other blades that I have tried.

I actually ordered only a spacer for a circular saw blade. The spacer work fine. No problems at all. My only issue with the spacer is that for the cost of it you should get three or four of them. I'm a retired machinist and you could crank these out a dime a dozen on a turret lathe. The charge what you do for one is criminal. With that said, the evolution saw blade that a friend of mine gave me, which I used the reducer bushing on to fit my circular saw worked fantastic. Spent the last 2 days installing vertical steel siding and I made a jig for cutting it on the 712 angle I needed and for straight 90° cuts. We ran that blade all day long for 2 days and it's still sharp enough to shave with 🤣.

I've only had the S380CPS cold cut saw for a couple of weeks. It cuts well and is straightforward to use. My only criticism is the vise that comes with the base. It works well with straight longer pieces; however because the clamping side of the vise pivots, it doesn't hold short pieces or uneven pieces. Even if the piece would fit squarely in the vise, if the piece doesn't put pressure evenly at the pivot point itself, then the vise clamp pivots and there isn't a locking mechanism built in that I could find to prevent that. I rigged a second clamp to hold it so I could cut a piece at a straight 90 degrees. This is a very annoying problem, that could be fixed by providing a way to lock the clamping side straight or at an angle. It may be a bit more difficult to do this than the static side which does lock into different angles but it would be worth it. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the saw so far.

I have only used the 14" mild steel blade to make a couple of cuts in mild steel. It cuts fine - I haven't got any complaints about it. It's the same model of blade that came with the saw when I bought the saw a couple of years ago. That blade worked well until a pinched a piece of metal on the back side of the blade and busted 2 of the teeth on it. After that it wouldn't cut good. If the new blade would cut harder steel as well as mild steel I would give a five star rating.

Thank you so much for your 4 star rating of Evolution Power Tools! It's great to hear that you have had a good experience so far with the 14" mild steel blade you have been using. I am sorry to hear about the blade you had to replace after it got pinched and damaged – I'm glad that you could find a good replacement. – if it does the job, we'd be thrilled to get a 5 star rating from you!

The saw cuts fine, HOWEVER when cutting some simple 1" X 1" X 1.25" wall a cut piece lodged in the guard and broke the automatic open/shut of the blade guard. I realize it's likely a freak but the saw has less than 30 cuts and the automatic guard is disabled. I will have to wire it open if I am to use the saw any more ? Disappointedly, Ken Jewett

For those who have not experienced a cold cut saw, using this tool will change your entire metal working experience. Most all my projects contain odd angles and this saw enables me to get perfect angles and fits to where I can TIG with no filler. I wish Evolution’s implementation of this saw was more industrial. For example, clamping a piece to the left fence only (when you need to only take small amounts off a piece) causes the fence to bend back. Even with moderate pressure from the clamp (an amount of force that would be tolerable by a finger in the clamp) causes the fence to deflect. This issue is less pronounced on the right fence, but still present. Why not just make this rigid? After using this for about 7 days, the surface of the saw is already showing signs of wear. I am typically breaking down square and rectangular tubing so make a cut, slide the tube down, then cut again. I have done this for years in my bandsaw and the cast iron top on it looks like the day it was new. Not so much on the evolution saw. Hopefully it holds up. Lastly, there is considerable chatter during cuts. Even with moderate cuts of .065 and .083 square tube or thicker 1/4 plate, there is always chatter. I have tried various downforce while cutting, nothing seems to make a difference. While it hasn’t effected my few cuts so far, I’m anxious to see what it does on 4”x4” tube. I’m very concerned about the fences flexing and the durability of the machine in general over time, but as of now it is a must have for fabricators.

Great tool investment overall. Only thing is the handle to move the saw to different angles should stick out a little further. It’s a tight fit when making multiple changes.

I bought circular saw and tracks, really good to use, better than using just the guide, easy to set up and accurate. workshop vacuum is nice to use with the circular saw and has a handy socket built in for power tools, which turns it on automatically when the power tool is in use. cordless reciprocating saw, easy to change blades, nice weight and can be used left or right handed, great for using in tight spaces. over all pleased with the tools so far.

I bought the EVOMAG42 drill and although the drill works perfectly I am quite unhappy that it is missing numerous items. My drill did not come with any screws to mount the guard or the coolant tank. It was missing the chuck, chuck adapter, chuck key, and all the hex keys. I have contacted Evolution Tools and it looks like I will have to return the drill and get a replacement one.

The saw works perfectly, clean cuts accurate angles(after I adjusted) A few things to consider Make the trigger ambidextrous Add a laser to line up cuts A portable stand would have been a great addition (customer service said one was in the works)

Ordering and shipping was very good, however since I haven't used the blade yet, I can't review it no matter how many email "reminders" are sent!

I'm always a bit unhappy when I buy equipment and the consumables have to be ordered online. I guess the days of someone local stocking them (so you can get them as soon as you need them) are a thing of the past now. Even worse was that local tool "stockists" who advertised having the stuff simply take your order, pass it on to Evolution then let you know when it's been delivered to them. Absolutely pointless. Having said that, I ordered a 210mm fine wood saw blade for my table saw directly from Evolution and it came relatively quickly, but too late for me to do the work on the weekend I wanted to (I'm a DIYer). I ordered on a Thursday, the order said next business day delivery by TNT... and it arrived Monday. The good thing was that the blade cuts beautifully.

The saw has great power and cuts so much better than a wood skill saw with a metal cutting blade. I should have bought it years ago. My only complaint is the base plate could be thicker and the edge guide does not work well with metal thinner than 1/4". The way the edge guide is built it allows thinner metals to slide under it and not ride on the guide surface.

Cuts very well and accurate! The one thing I would change is not allowing the detent pin to be left in the up position. It should have to have constant pressure against the pin to make angle adjustments. If you do not realize that the pin is in the up position the saw can be very dangerous. I was cutting 1" flat plate at a 45 degree angle (mild steel) and the pin was in the up position. The vise itself cannot hold the material in place without the pin in the down position. The result was the saw kicked the flat stock out and up into the blade and guard damaging the saw and the blade. I have to buy a new blade after only about ten cuts.

Thank you so much for your 4-star rating for Evolution Power Tools! We're glad to hear that you have found it can cut accurately and well. The pin should be locked into one of the locking holes in the base next to the numbered degrees. If there are issues with this mechanism or we can assist you with this further, please contact one of our customer service specialist at 866-386-8665. We are here to help!
