Got a shock at the quality and capability of the saw considering the low price I paid for it.

Well built tool, and relatively easy to assemble. Laser light is good only in low light!! but I like the concept and it works when you can see it.

Rage 210 compound mitre-saw. Had to exchange 1st. one bought at Screwfix as turntable surface wasn't flat (right-angles to sawblade 1 side; 1/8th " out to blade centre on other !). Replacement ok. Made sure rear work fence was square to blade when t/table locked at 90 degrees and adjusted other settings/stops so accurate. Never owned one of these before in my long diy life - I wish I had it's absolutely brilliant. Cuts are clean and accurate and making 45 degree mitre joints is a breeze. If needed, very easy to shave just a 1/16" or so off a previously cut length. I've also bought the Evolution accessory kit (2 short work support brackets, sliding stop which fits on either bracket, extra clamp - clamps front to back, original supplied clamps down onto table, dust collection bag). I can't believe the excellent value of the kit, although the dustbag is a waste of space. By coach-bolting a floorboard to underside of support bracket (step stool supporting free end) I can clamp a stopblock to the board for cutting long pieces to consistent lengths. Construction is robust and seems well made. Absolutel brilliant value all round. My view is that DIYers don't need to spend out oodles more cash for more recognisable brand names, Evolution is the answer (I've now bought their 710 watt jigsaw as well !). I'm one happy bunny.

well designed and easy to use but plastic knobs on lock screws feel little under engineered

Good value for money, although I was surprised that a dust bag had not been included.

The overall performance of the saw was good however I found the guide to be very poor, it bent very easily from just putting the saw down during use, I was able to bend it back true with my fingers which indicated the poor quality of the steel. It needs a stronger guide.

Got my saw from screw fix ,opened it up at home only to find it was the 110v version. Screw fix changed it for a 230v one no problem.A label on the box would have helped. Saw worked straight from the box, good product......

It's a good machine for the money. I think there could be a few improvements with some of the details but on the whole well worth it.

At 0 degrees on the rage 3-s the cut should be dead straight but it's off by about 2 degrees. Used engineers square to line up the blade to be flat against square and it was at just about 2 degrees

Overall very pleased Some play in the height adjustment means the base plate moves a few degrees. This will need to be shimmed for accurate cuts. No easy method of mounting as a table saw and the base plate will need to be drilled.

I haven' used the saw or the bench yet, but putting them together was simple and they both look like quality pieces of kit I like the look of them both: solid, well constructed and with very little 'waggle' in the machinery. This gives me confidence that safe and accurate cutting will be easily achieved. Finally, whilst not immediately relevant for your equipment, the service provided by the staff in the Frome branch of Screwfix (where I bought the kit) was outstanding.

Great value for the price. Feels a bit 'lose' in fixed positions but it's still great for £50!!!

Bought saw Evolution 255mm DB sliding mitre saw through Amazon and trigger handle was damaged in transit. because of the bulk rather than return to Amazon called Evolution direct to see if they could replace damaged grip. After a 5 min call to register machine details they agreed to supply new handle for me to swap over so all's good with machine. I am a seasoned user of machine tools, lathes, band saws, metal working and woodworking and to be honest was very nervous of using this saw to cut any metal as it seemed impossible to comprehend that one blade would cut wood, steel, plastics and other metals. Using it to cut box section steel 3mm wall thickness i was amazed with the performance. I cut out a birds mouth mitre in 2 x 1 steel box using the mitre facility and it was perfect and took minutes,, incredable. cutting lots of steel will obviously reduce the life of the blade but treat it with respect you should get a reasonable life out of the blade. So after purchasing the saw and the evolution mitre saw stand and putting them through their paces I am very impressed indeed and cant understand why I didn't buy one sooner.

Pros.... Assembly instructions are fantastic. Cut is mostly very clean. Laser is reliable. Cons...1. The Allen key locking but on the blade itself works loose fairly often. The button used to lock the blade is difficult to push and could have been designed more ergonomically as it is difficult to push. Overall though I am happy with the quality 2. Cutting small things is very tricky because they can't be clamped down due to the clamps not reaching that far. 3. Clamping pieces down on the right hand side is impractical because the motor gets in the way of the clamp! Overall though I am happy with the product and would recommend.

Feels well built and solid, on heavy side but that's reassuring . It works smoothly, speed control good, no nasty noises. A bonus is having 2 heads, cord not as long as my old B&D but ok. Am pleased.

Bought the sliding mitre saw to do some flooring in our house. Have not yet had it long but all seems fine. The assembly instructions were comprehensive and I was specially pleased with the idea of the safety check list to amke sure I had completed all that was needed. The key for me is that the saw is light enough to be portable for indoor jobs while not compromising on features or capability, and it complements the much bigger and heavier one I have in my workshop which is definitely not portable.

A nice little compack compound mite saw. Not too heavy. I use it for DIY. I have mounted it on a board 50cm long and 25cm wide this means that you can clamp it onto a workmate. This makes life easy. Good features are the positive stop angle adjustement and the fine controls for setting the 90 & 45 degree cuts. On the down side is the blade bore of 25.4mm. This is not standard. Most replacement blades are sold with a 30mm bore size which can be sleaved down to 16mm. So if I want to use a 48TPI blade for fine wood cutting I can not find a blade that fits this saw.
