“We have gone through 2 Evolution mag drills in 12 months. We do not constantly use them but when required it fails miserably. Problems with magnet, electrical wiring and the mechanical side too. Poor product and shocking customer service!”

“I bought a file sander from Screwfix but unfortunately from the day I unpacked it it did not work properly. It started when the trigger was pulled but cut out before it could be used. Returned it to Screwfix who have agreed to replace it for me. lets hope the replacement will work better.”

“Sadly had to return my mini belt sander to Screwfix. Belts supplied in box kept coming off. Adjuster obviously faulty. No adjustment. Screwfix belts too big at 305mm. Belts must be 303mm. This does present a problem as they are sold in threes and work out exspensive.”

“Purchased the Evolution Rage 3s for home DIY. After 10 minutes the laser guide stopped working and cutting thro a 3"x3" batton the saw does not cut all the way thro and leaves the bottom corner uncut”

“My Hulk Electro was bought to construct a driveway at my house. It stopped working after 2 days. This was returned to Evolution. As a replacement I was sent a reconditioned Hulk Petrol ( why was I sent a different model?). The box stank of petrol, something the delivery driver commented on. I did not try and use the Hulk Petrol for several weeks. However, on trying to get it started it would not start. This was also sent back, in its place I received a reconditioned Hulk Electro (success!). I have tested it and it works, I have not got back to using it on my driveway. I just pray it will last the 48 hours or so that is needed to finish the driveway. The whole experience with Evolution tools has been very disappointing.”

“Put machine together and today (after 4 days) tried it out. Petrol tank very inaccessible. Need a funnel to fill tank. Machine sounded rough when in standby, i.e not washing. After two slabs the lance started spraying from the middle. Checked and found that O-ring had already disintegrated. Lance is supposed to have high and low pressure setting. There is no low pressure setting - it just dribbles out, never mind having a fan shape. Very disappointing. The whole thing is going back.”

“The unit was purchased from Screwfix and was missing the blade, the sliding arm would not fit as per the instructions and videos. Support from Screwfix and Evolution was none existent and the unit was returned.”

“Disappointed with Jig Saw, thought it was capable to cut kitchen worktops but found that the cutting blade wavers to the right, I had to use my colleagues Makita (with the same make of blade installed) to finish the job. I am a retired self employed kitchen fitter but do the occasional kitchen/home improvements for old customers so I am more than accustomed to cutting worktops butt/scribe and cutting out for hobs and sinks, the way the blade 'wanders' with this Evolution Jigsaw I would have a serious problem, I find that the product is perfectly capable for cutting 18mm sheets but for heavy work forget it.”

“Bought two evolution saws both were faulty as soon as they were started to be used. Returned for refunds. Very poor bought erbaur instead and have had no problems.”

“Poor quality workmanship. After 12 months of periodic use, Mitre Saw blade and fence have become out of true and unable to be corrected. Would not buy another Evolution product nor recommend them. Should have stuck with Dewalt, albeit more expensive you pay for quality.”
